Amazing tapas and warm atmosphere

Truly liked the mix of flavors, freshness of the food and welcoming atmosphere. Big wood lined room feels warm and inviting. Great drinks as well - even their tea was a special blend and delicious. Do not miss the grilled corn.

We had a very good experience for lunch at Toro. Wide variety of shareable tapas. The grilled corn was particularly good. Server helpful and knowledgeable. Very pleasant room overlooking Washington Street. As always, tapas restaurants can be expensive as one keeps adding more dishes.

Inventive, savory, modern are three terms that describe the Tapas offerings at Toro, Boston's Southend neighborhood restaurant. The ambiance is enriched with an open kitchen, cathderal ceilings, and seating which includes high top shared tables and individual seating along the walls. Gaps to fill include offerings that are light, fresh, and subtly sauced. Smooth and delicate are important watch words... More

Went yestarday with a friend to have dinner. She heard this place is really good, so I wanted to have food from where I am living. I'm from Barcelona and I love 'tapas' and spanish food in general, so I have been in many spanish restaurants obviously. The place is nice, very cozy, but too many tables for a small... More

First, Toro is small and doesn't take reservations, so get there early or be prepared to wait. That said, it is well worth the wait, as we had some of the best tapas and paella anywhere. Our server helped guide us through the menu and made a fabulous wine recommendation. Nothing fancy hear, but great food!

This restaurant is one of the reasons why I signed up for TripAdvisor. So I can express my new found passion for this place. My boyfriend and I shared the Paella Valenciana for two and it brought me back to my time spent in Spain! It was so amazing, we went back for lunch the next day before we had... More

Toro is a small, intimate restaurant with a fabulous reputation. I thought the food was good, but not great. The service was nice but not remarkable. The prices are higher than they should be.

Excellent combinations with tons of creativity. Loved the bread with tomato, the sea urchin with caviar, the tuna belly, the octopus with olives and much more. The portions are not big, so I thought we would never finish, but we almost cleaned up the plates. That means the bill is a little higher than you think initially, unless you eat... More

Since we were heading to an event, we arrived at 5:20PM on a Friday and had a drink at the bar while waiting for table service to begin at 5:30. The drink selection is decent but there is no beer on draft. The bartenders and servers were very helpful and personable. We ordered 6 plates for the two of us,... More

The menu was incredible and much of it was gluten free. They were very sensitive to even bread being on the same surface. The menu ranges from uni to bone marrow, paella to yellow fin tuna. Every bite was exquisite. If you are just looking for a quick meal, skip this place. If you are looking for an evening of... More
