What a fantastic dinner!

We stopped at Toro and was told it was a two hour wait. That was no problem. We were pleasantly surprised when the wait was only an hour. We sat outside and ordered about 1/3 of the menu. Everything was gorgeous on the plate and was delicious. We tried the Parron which is like a teapot that... read more

While the food, drink and service are all excellent and rather unique it's getting to the table that's a problem. First, it's location is not the best so one has to drive down to it. They don't take reservations and as its popular you arrive, give your name and if you are lucky have to hang around for an hour... More

This restaurant served the best food I had during my week long stay in Boston. The tapas are just amazing!! We were a party of 7 and had an assortment from the menu which I will try and do justice to: Marcona almonds with olive oil and sea salt - Great nibbles White anchovies in vinegar and olive oil -... We are tapa fanatics and Toro was top of our Boston list. My wife was a little overdressed but that was a bad on us. That aside...wow. It was one taste experience after another. The Fois Gras was an explosion of flavour. Service was well delivered but staff were stretched with the volume. As we track down tapas everywhere we... More

We went to Toro for Mother's Day. The food was delicious. My favorite was the razor clams, I had to get a second order. My son said his favorite was the yellowtail. My husband said his duck was the best duck he has ever had. We had a half order of the paella, it was OK, a bit heavy on... More

If you are in Boston be sure to check out this place. It's a tapas bar offering real Spanish food along with some adaptions. Excellent drinks - beers, wines, great cocktails. Service was knowledgeable, quick and friendly. Price wise, we left paying around $70 + tip so it was pretty good. It is busy so get along early to get... More

I have tried 3 times to get into this place. All to avail, except for this weekend-finally. The food is very good. My wife, a Spaniard, and 2 other guests from Barcelona did enjoy their meal. Patatas bravas were quite tasty. The Spanish ham was not the best out there (did not get the bellota), but still good as well.... More

How do you top that? We had a fantastic lunch at Toro! The food was so flavorful, fresh, unusual and unique. We had heard great things about it and it lived up to all the hype. Our server was pleasant and efficient! Our salad with tahini-miso dressing was delicious! We enjoyed the bruschetta and dates but our favorite was the... More

The range of interesting and delicious tapas makes Toro a great place for lunch in the South End of Boston. Comfortable setting, helpful and informed staff, great food. I look forward to going back soon.

Toro excels at having the guest interested to try new combinations with every dish. This busy, but not too crowded restaurant made for a wonderful brunch experience. They are proud of their staple dishes, but aren't afraid to take the risks needed to keep things fresh with their specials. The waitstaff are always excited to share with you some of... More
