Opened June 2, 2005, at 90 North Washington Street – nestled between the North End of Boston and the soon-to-be rejuvenated Bullfinch Triangle area – nebo is an upscale pizzeria/enoteca with seating for 105. The stylish décor of all natural wood, stone, and chocolate brown ultrasuede is reminiscent of the cosmopolitan ambiance of Rome and Milan . The white marble bar, complete with plasma TV, is perfect for a post-work bite or beverage. Menu offerings at nebo include traditional Neapolitan pizza; a wide variety of antipasti and bruschette; and a selection of desserts, all made on the premises. Nebo also features a full bar and an extensive wine list, with over 150 selections available by the bottle. Unique to nebo are wines offered by the quartino – presented in individual carafes, they're just enough for those wishing to share a taste.

Delicious, Fresh - busy atmosphere but nice

The food and service here are good - food is fresh and delicious. A great location for a business lunch in the city and while the room is open and acoustically "live", the noise doesn't overpower conversations.

I was excited to see that this restaurant offered gluten-free items. Unfortunately, I thought it was extremely over rated and expensive. I will not return.

I was staying near by and it was raining, ran into Nebo just by chance. Thank god I did. The warm olives were great, it was the best veal Milanese I have had in a LONG time, and holy cow the fried dough with chocolate dip was unbelievable!!!

Went here on NYE and it was exactly what the stars say... Average. I don't go into detail about the food because nothing was over the top good or bad. I would just suggest to pass on Nebo if you're on the fence and instead head to the North End. You won't be disappointed there.

Just a one minute walk from intercontinental hotel. Fresh, cool and Italian. Wines are just from Italy. But great Moscow Mule. Good antipasti. Meat balls, warm Olives. Oil bread.....

The place is very nice and very open. The only problem is that sound can be a bit challenging. Really tough to hear folks that were not next to you. The service was very good and on point. The salmon in a bed of white beans was extremely tasty. However, everyone commented on how good the food was. Nice spot... More

I wanted to give it 4 stars but could not. I like the open space concept but it makes the place very loud especially considering a large crowd at the bar. It was 4 of us at the table and we had to speak up to be able to hear each other. The food was good but not exceptional. We... More

Total disappointment. Perhaps now I understand the bad reviews. 1. We were greeted by a barrage of noise as the bar area was full. 2. The food left much to be desired. Other than the arugala salad, the pasta and side of broccolini was mush. I actually sent back the side! Total disappointment overall. It will take a lot of... More

It seems to be a place for groups - huge wall of sound that greets you as you enter. After a drink at the bar, we were taken to a nice table at the far end away from the noisy bar but next to a noisy table. No problem though. The problem was with the order of calamari which had... More

This a great little Italian restaurant! I had the Piamonte Pizza with goat cheese, wild mushrooms and onions... Perfect! My wife had the zucchini lasagna. I'm not a zucchini fan and this was WONDERFUL. Our server was prompt, courteous, and very friendly. He was also very knowledgeable of the food menu and wine menu.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
