Another great recommendation from Connor ,the wonderful concierge at Omni Parker House Hotel . Great location and a cosy atmosphere , our party got their preferences . The steaks were great and the seafood pasta was exceptional . We shares a seafood platter appetizer that had a great selection of clams ,oysters ,shrimps and lobster . The service was prompt... More

After a day of meetings and drinks after business hours KW and I went to this restaurant in the Financial District. Having lived and worked in the North End for years in the 80's I was a bit skeptical that we would enjoy italian in this area. I loved the intimate atmosphere, open kitchen and general vibe. We sat at... More

I came here with my husband as we wanted to have a special meal before we left Boston, so went somewhere more pricey. There was nothing wrong with either of our meals; but it really wasn't worth the price at all, very mediocre. The wine was nice and a good price though, and the service was good. We probably wouldn't... More

Cool atmosphere, but extremely expensive. Food was very good, but they seem to cater more to the business crowd working or staying in the financial district. For better food, at better prices, walk 15 minutes to the north end, or try some of the newer places around Beacon Hill. All meals were good, and the pasta was fresh which is... More

Recommended by the doorman at the Langham, I tried Umbria for dinner on a Wednesday night. I should have been worried after the soufflé bread roll arrived. I ordered the mussels, which were well cooked, but the sauce was bland. Had the lobster, grilled, for main, and again underwhelmed. Ordered a potato gratin for sides, and with a glass of... More

The food was good to very good; prices were extremely high. Salad didn't have much to it -- bibb lettuce, a trace of goat cheese, and so-so dressing. Popovers were very good, but could have been served fresher. Sea bass wasn't the best choice for a steak restaurant. Ribeye was very good, but its price was way up there.

The restaurant is in the financial district 295 Franklin Street. It is smart casual with an excellent offering. The sea food and oyster selection is just great

The steak was very good, sea bass was a little fishy. Building was historic, small but had good atmosphere. Staff stood over our table during the meal, maybe because the space is a little tight. More average than anything.

There were 3 of us for a business dinner. Got seated right away on a Thursday night which was nice. Waiter was ok. He took our order right away but forgot to bring my soup and never refilled my ice tea. Bread came to the table later then I'm use to but that might just be their thing. It was... More

We happened upon this restaurant by accident, the menu looked interesting, as did the Oyster Bar, plus is was packed which is often a good sign. There are a lot of tables in a tight space and due to this the noise levels can become a bit overpowering so be warned. The selection of oysters was tremendous and each with... More
