We wanted to have dinner near our hotel and chose this one. The menu was very limited. We were a little disappointed in some of the dinner choices and ended up with burgers - can you imagine having burgers for dinner in Boston?! We did order shrimp cocktail and they charge $3.50 per shrimp. We ordered six of them and... More

We dined here as part of a party of 12 in one of the rooms upstairs as part of a College Graduation celebration. Downstairs is a lively and somewhat noisy bar with tables for dining, but upstairs was very different. Although not quiet, the room was excellent, high ceilings indirect lighting with a large window overlooking Kenmore Square. We had... More

Bar staff were so friendly. Perfect service. Waiter recalled drinks a few days later. Breakfast was really ideal.

Visited here while staying at the Commonwealth Hotel. Had breakfast which was hand cooked rather than buffet so was slow; there were very few people here for breakfast; not surprising as most people I know want to be in and out and buffet style is best for this. Had a couple of evening meals here; burger which was good. We... More

We had one dinner and two breakfasts here (stayed at the Hotel Commonwealth adjoining). The breakfasts were pleasant. The dinner was superb. Starting with the cocktails (my partner stayed with a vodka martini; i tried a local small-batch gin martini - delightful!) the service was stellar. In selecting a bottle of White Burgundy with dinner, our waiter sent over the... More

The menu is small. the place will be swamped if there is game and you will feel rushed. The prices were reasonable for the location and the food.

Food and atmosphere is very good. Service was fair. We would consider trying again because of the food and location. Try the desert wine flight best part of the meal.

We arrived slightly after opening this morning (right after 7am Sunday, April 26th, 2015). We were greeted right away and seated at a very nice and spacious table. Our server took our drink order immediately and brought the drinks back right away. My compliments to the FoH staff. The food, however, was very disappointing. I ordered the eggs benedict and... They don't take reservations so show up closer to 10:30. The food was great with big portions. We had the smoked salmon bagel and eggs Benedict. Both were fabulous. The bloody Mary's are great and spicy! We sat outside and they have plenty of heaters. It was fun to people watch and see all the runners prepare for the marathon.
