The welcome you receive when you arrive is only surpassed by the quality of the food and the service. The knowledge of each and every server is happily shared with the customer to insure that you get exactly what you want as a meal. The wine list is excellent, and the presentation of the food is awesome. If you have... More

We were staying at Hotel Commonwealth and had breakfast three times in this restaurant and the last night we had dinner there. Top class restaurant. Nice music, the food excellent and the service first class. The breakfast is very good and big portion. Enough for me and my wife the continental breakfast. The dinner there was a pleasant experience with... More

this is my third time at Eastern, and it is good with some holes. The food is always very good, but I get the feeling this place has a priority on volume, less on the top standards. I say this because while the staff is friendly, they make mistakes I attribute to being overworked. Strange lags, order mistakes, just little... More

This is an amazing restaurant right in Kenmore Sq in the Commonwealth hotel. The menu changes often but if they have marrow bones, go for it. The foie gras is great too. I've had fabulous steaks here, lamb shanks, definitely a place for meat, though the seafood is also exceptional.

We went with our 2 year old grandson, to meet friends for breakfast. Upon arrival he was given a package of real crayons crayons. We have dined here many times and the breakfast lived up to previous meals. When he finished his Meal he wanted to walk around. The restaurant is attached to the Hotel Commonwealth, so we walked into... More

MAYBE we were unlucky but we hit this friendly popular place the night the salt fiend was in the kitchen. Salt in my oysters! Way too much salt on the steak. It spoiled the food for me, I'm afraid. Would have been good with less salt in everything: we didn't want to risk a salty pudding! For your sake I... More

As a frequent business traveler, I dine out often with colleagues in new cities sampling recommended restaurants and cuisine. Therefore it takes a lot to impress me. Eastern Standard is probably one of the best dining experiences I have had in years. We sat outside on the patio- which despite the cold was quite warm with the braziers even for... More

Loved the atmosphere and the food was really, really good. My wife and I went there for Thanksgiving and we had a nice time. We got there a bit early and had a drink at the cool bar and our bartender was nice and efficient and he made us a great cocktail. Out dinner was pretty expensive at over $170... More
