Definitely would return if in the area. Food was delicious and it was first time having shrimp with grits. It was simply amazing! The service could have been better as the server took forever to return to the table. Ambiance is lively and just a great brunch spot.Delicious food.

I had dinner here earlier this month with a business colleague, first time here although I've been to Island Creek a few times in years past (their sister restaurant next-door). I would normally give a restaurant like this a "very good" but their well-thought-out and well-priced wine list pushed the volume up to "excellent." We arrived around 7pm on a... More

My wife and I had early reservations here before the Garth Brooks concert at TD Garden. We ate light but everything we had was very good. They have some unique items on their menu. However, we stuck with the standard fare. The most outstanding facet of our visit was the service. The wait staff were very attentive, friendly, helpful and... More

My husband and I spent night at Hotel Commonwealth. After a show we went to Eastern Standard for drinks and appetizers. Calamari was fantastic. Unique cocktails. Bartenders were entertaining and great conversationalists. Definitely made our night. Breakfast following morning as equally enjoyable. Eggs Benedict was superb. We will definitely be coming back!

Had the roast duck breast and the bone marrow app. Finished with chocolate mousse cake. Great old world service and a great selection of inventive drinks.

I have made a few stops here. The last couple of times I forgot that they change the menu often. Variety is great, but sometimes your favorite item won't be on the menu. Sometimes the menu is more kid friendly than the next one. Also-I always expect clam chowder. I don't think I've seen it on the menu. However service,... More

Terrific food and atmosphere. The steak was wonderful as well. Both for sitting at the bar, and even for brunch, this is a great choice.

I had the opportunity to dine at Eastern Standard in Boston's Kenmore Square last evening with some friends to celebrate one of their birthdays; it was a great night. We were warmly greeted and our table was ready upon arrival at 7:00pm and were there for over three hours, taking our time with cocktails, appetizers, meals, dessert, and dessert drinks.... More

We booked Eastern Standard for Christmas Lunch after some internet research. The restaurant is next to the Kenmore subway stop. The interior is old fashioned speakeasy chic.A fantastic very long marble bar and a dining room with red leather and dark wood interior.Service from reception, bar, to waiter service were excellent.Great drinks list and well priced. The food and wine were...
