Came here for their Sunday brunch. I have been here a few times but never for brunch. We started with the steak tartare and the cheeseboard. Both were fantastic. Best Bloody Mary I have had in a long time as well. The service was really slow unfortunately. My boyfriend waited a long time for a refill on his drink. One... More

This place and its sister restaurant nearby seem to really attract the "in" crowd. We sat outside on a nicely heated patio away from it all but we'd stood around in the pretentiousness for over an hour waiting to be seated. As people left the bar, bartenders started placing "reserved" signs in their places preventing us from sitting after we'd... More

I love a well made drink. I think the Old Fashioned I had at ES were the best I have ever had. They went down so smooth and the cherries (Luxardo cherries) they used are so delicious! I had a burger (rare) with fries and it was perfectly cooked and so tasty, I almost wanted another. The french onion soup... More

Visited my daughter in Boston and this place was close to my hotel. We stopped in for drinks and a snack in late afternoon. The young bartender took pride in his 'mixology' knowledge, but was a bit pretentious and stiff...and very serious about his knowledge of drinks. Truly, we could have had anything and like it, but he made some... More

I had several breakfasts and dinners at Eastern Standard. The quality of food and service was excellent. A breakfast of smoked salmon and bagel was an especially good way to start the day. Friday evening's was crowded and noisy.

Had the salmon - cooked perfectly. Even thought the restaurant was humping - I was able to seated immediately without a reservation. Great service.

I had a green fly cocktail which was incredible. Truth be told, I had 2. The homemade focaccia bread was warm and tasty. For dinner I had beet salad followed by the hake. Both were fantastic. My husband had the calamari for an appetiser - very good. His main course was the baked rigatoni, which we wouldn't recommend. It was... More

We stopped here for dinner while visiting a student at BU, and it was much better than expected. The Flat Iron Steak was very good, and a relative bargain at $22. The Salmon, I was told, was very good as well. Enjoying our meal on the semi-enclosed patio just added to the experience. For a good meal at a reasonable... More

We were on a tour of BU and it was raining steadily. After the browsing of the book store and a tee shirt purchase we wanted lunch. Not a college student lunch, so we wandered in here. Little did we know you can't get in for dinner, but lunch, ok. The service was very pleasant. My daughter had chicken pot... More

I was attracted to this place because it offered roasted marrow bones as an appetizer. I love unusual foods and it was yum. Unfortunately my main was a rigatoni with sausage n meatballs. Thd main ingredients were fine but the dish was covered in an overcooked hard crust of strong cheese. This brought the experience down to a "Diners, Drive-ins... More
