I love this ambience here. My salmon was delish! Drinks were just ok, sometimes simple is better. Kudos for handcrafted mixologists though, they work hard. Would return.

We stayed at the Hotel Commonwealth last weekend and went here for breakfast both days. The service was great - they have a super attentive and friendly staff. The atmosphere is also very nice. We sat outside the first day and the second we sat near the window. Both were great tables. My only issue with this place was with... More

I had heard good things about Eastern Standard and my first visit did not disappoint. It was a lovely Monday evening and I was seated at an outside table. There are outside heaters that allow dining al fresco up through November. I was surprised to see the restaurant full on a Monday night. I understood why once my food started... More

I first ate here in 2012 and was underwhelmed. Fast forward to 2014 and my how things have changed. The space is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The patio area is quite nice but slightly noisy as it sits very close to Commonwealth Avenue. Breakfast was consistently good during our stay. The menu is fairly limited but diverse. Yogurt with berries... More

We stopped here on our way to Fenway Park, and were a bit worried as it looked very posh and we were dressed for a baseball game. However, we needn't have worried as most of the clientele were the same as us, all happy and enjoying a pre-game meal. The food was great and our waiter was fun and friendly.... More

This restaurant is fabulous. I have been here a number of times when in the area and have never been disappointed. The wines choices are great. The servers are all very knowledgable and one can tell they have been well-trained. Today I had oysters, clams casino, soup. My dining partner had blue fish pate and the romaine salad. We shared... Amazing food! Amazing drinks! Amazing staff! I had the tenderloin and when instructing the staff that I wanted it medium, pink but no blood, they got it spot on. I was also assured that they'd make sure I was happy with how it was cooked and when I received my meal, the staff was very attentive to make sure it... More

Fruit, decafe tea and lovely young recent local grads serving! Dinner was too expensive for anything but hamburgers and very noisy with the red sox fans

I am a regular at Eastern Standard as it's near my office, so it's fair to say that I've sampled their fare and the overall experience of eating there many times. The menu is luxe bistro, modern, light, high quality interpretations of french bistro fare. Very consistent. Standout items include their calamari app, the salmon and tuna nicoise, and great... More
