Inconsistent Excellence and Culinary Disaster - Roll the Dice

Based on three visits, Pierrot Bistro could be the best French Bistro in town and one of the best in the country -- or one of the worst. On two of the three visits, we would have echoed the sentiments of another reviewer, that it was "so French that we started speaking French". In fact, based on... read more

We stopped in for lunch because the place looked charming through the window, and it turned out not only charming but very good. We shared a first rate onion soup and each had a quiche that was terrific. The menu is French without airs or pretensions. Service was cordial, prices modest. We will definitely return and try it for dinner.... More

We asked a pal for a recommendation for a restaurant with in walking distance of Mass general Hospital . He said this would be the place. He was correct. It was just like so many small Bistros in Paris. Warm welcoming on a cold winter's night . We split a pate plate that was good and generous went on to... More

The portion of food is very big, and unlikely Italian pasta its more like an American.. Not so pricey when you go there for lunch. They provide a lunch set menu which is a very good price. It's very near of MGH so it's very easy to reach..

I spend as much time as I can in Paris and as much of that time as possible at Bistrots. When I walked in, Pierrot just "felt" like a Parisian Bistro. The woman at the door greeted us with a French accent and seated us in tables that were perhaps just a bit to far apart to mimic a real... More

A rainy night and a warm welcome were a perfect match at this Beacon Hill bistro. This is a comfortable fall back when we are in town and we are never disappointed. Tonight there was a fantastic endive salad with a mustard vinaigrette and slices of smoked duck breast, steak fritte and an incredible Grand Marnier soufflé. We rolled home... More

Pierrot's really gives you that overall French bistro feeling from the minute you walk in the door; hearing some French music and seeing the dining room decorated in masks and white tablecloths. The food is delicious; and you must try the escargots as an appetizer. Also the cocktails are prepared with a flair and the dessert of soufflé is to... More

My wife and I had an amazing lunch once again at one of our favorite restaurants in Boston, right across the street from Mass General Hospital (272 Cambridge St.). We both had the veal lunch special which was in a piccata style ($16). The most delicious French baguette and creamery butter comes with every meal. I had a delicious glass... More

We were in the neighborhood for a doctor appointment at Mass Eye & Ear and found Pierrot Bistrot for an early dinner. We were delightfully surprised as we had a great meal with great service and had, previously, never heard of the place! We had the Coquilles Saint Jacques which I'd have preferred with potato instead of white rice, but... More

We have eaten here several times over the last few years, but have now had our last meal there. Food was mediocre, soup with no flavor, poor presentation...duck served with potato gratin, who's potatoes were so poor you could taste the earth. Truly disappointing as this was our 'reliable' go to bistro
