Go to for lunch by MGH

Bistro on Cambridge Street across from Mass. General Hospital. Authentic bistro with the standard dishes, done well. Note to the reviewer that was disappointed with the variety on the wine list -- it's a bistro, not a expensive french restaurant. Just like in France, don't expect to get in and... read more

I had a rather horrible experience dealing with the management of the restaurant! When I first heard about the restaurant, I was rather excited. It was near my work. So I decided to bring 2 coworkers over to try it out. I ordered pate and something else. The food was average in my opinion. Service also average. When I went... More

Rendezvous for lunch with a friend on staff at Massachusetts General Hospital (across the street) was convenient for him. He recommended the French onion soup, a great choice with a fresh salad. I had arrived early, and the staff welcomed me warmly. Amid the hustle and bustle of Boston, the relaxed atmosphere was a splendid experience.

I'm a little spoiled when it comes to French restaurants because I live within easy reach of France. So unfortunately, all I can say about the food at this cosy little bistro is that it's adequate. However - there's more to an eating house than the food. The Mass Gen neighbourhood seems a bit short of places one can pop... More

Very attractive small bistro style restaurant that is very reminiscent of Paris neighborhood restaurants. We go for lunch after an appointment at MGH and have always enjoyed it very much. The menu makes you think you are in Paris. The soup was excellent as were salads. Had a glass of Bordeaux which was quite nice, Prices are moderate and service... More

Based on three visits, Pierrot Bistro could be the best French Bistro in town and one of the best in the country -- or one of the worst. On two of the three visits, we would have echoed the sentiments of another reviewer, that it was "so French that we started speaking French". In fact, based on our extensive experience... More

We stopped in for lunch because the place looked charming through the window, and it turned out not only charming but very good. We shared a first rate onion soup and each had a quiche that was terrific. The menu is French without airs or pretensions. Service was cordial, prices modest. We will definitely return and try it for dinner.... More

We asked a pal for a recommendation for a restaurant with in walking distance of Mass general Hospital . He said this would be the place. He was correct. It was just like so many small Bistros in Paris. Warm welcoming on a cold winter's night . We split a pate plate that was good and generous went on to... More

The portion of food is very big, and unlikely Italian pasta its more like an American.. Not so pricey when you go there for lunch. They provide a lunch set menu which is a very good price. It's very near of MGH so it's very easy to reach..

I spend as much time as I can in Paris and as much of that time as possible at Bistrots. When I walked in, Pierrot just "felt" like a Parisian Bistro. The woman at the door greeted us with a French accent and seated us in tables that were perhaps just a bit to far apart to mimic a real... More
