Favorite meal in Boston!

With over 2,000 reviews on Yelp and no reservations, I was hesitant if/when we had the chance to eat here. Thankfully, their waiting process didn't involve physically being present, but rather a host would take down your name and number to call you back when your spot is open. That being said, we... read more

There is always a wait here I guess, the wait was quoted at 2 hours, but I think we only waited about 90 minutes. We ended up waiting at a bar across the street. The restaurant is small, I think I counted 40 seats. According to a co-worker that is local, I guess it is debatably one of the best... More

Loved the lobster roll. Service was good. Had a nice bottle of wine too. You have to go early to get a table as it's not very big. Sundays are probably busy but I got there at 11.30am and got the last table. After that there was a queue.

I was visiting Boston for a comedy show with my fiancé over the weekend and was told that Neptune was a MUST-DO. Thankfully, all the expectations were met! The small spot was very quant and the food was to die for! There is a bit of a wait but like I said it was worth it! The staff was very... More

Overall, a great hole-in-the wall in the North End which I would return to. The pluses: interesting dishes like the uni butter ciabatta, caviar-tuna-lumberjack (forgot the exact name! But an flavorful combination of salty caviar/fish with cornmeal pancake/honey butter), and very fresh seafood (delicious lobster in the lobster roll). The less-good: the crab bisque could have had a higher intensity... More

Such a great little spot in the North End. The best Oysters you can get with an amazing selection. I know it can be a wait because it is tiny but so worth it. Go have a drink up the street and they will call you. My husband is allergic to fin fish and there is always something on the... More

Second visit in last two years and it's amazing. It's small and we were 18 on line before they opened. The oysters are spectacular as is the lobster roll. Put it on your list and you won't be sorry!

A very small, cosy seafood joint in Boston's historic North End. The wait is long (an hour for a table of two, but sometimes solo travellers get in within 10 mins at the bar) which is a sign of what's to come. The food was very unique, and despite ordering something I actually didn't like the sound of, I ended... More

Looking forward to going back to Boston just to visit this little gem in the North End. Wait it's at least an hour long even for a solo diner, but so worth it, check in, then take a walk around the block for a drink at Lucca's Bar... Everything is delicious, my favorite was the hot lobster roll and the... More

Went here during a trip to Boston because of all the trip advisor ratings saying it was the best for the hot lobster roll. We had a table of four, had two hot lobster rolls, one scallop dish and one shrimp and grits. Scallop dish was delicious, shrimp and grits was not up to par. As for the lobster rolls,... More
