Lobster Caprese Salad!! Absolutely amazing! If you go to one restaurant in Boston...make it Neptune Oyster. The Lobster Caprese should be on everyone's "food bucket list!" Fresh, tender, perfectly prepared lobster ( and a bunch of it), fresh buffalo mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, all drizzled with an amazing herb-oil. What else can you ask for? Perfection!

great lobster roll... just north of little italy. The lobster roll comes in hot butter or cold mayo version. The Hot butter was like someone took a whole steamed lobster shelled it cut it in huge chunks drizzled with butter put in a bun then broiled to perfection. Neat place and best lobster roll with best oysters from all of... More

Arrived pre-opening for the day and was about 20th in line. The word about arrive early or prepare for a wait was correct, but after the first guests were seated and started finishing, the line worked down nicely. Service was prompt and friendly. Very clean. A bit pricy ($27 for a hot lobster roll; $2.80 each for Beausoleil oysters and... More

Awesome I am from Massachusetts and can vouch for this if you want the best in local seafood Including many oyster choices. The folks who complain on the wait and seafood dont get this is a very small famous place in the busy pricy north end. Any one who knows food and can pay the price will rate as 5... More

This place is fantastic! We got in line on a Sunday about an hour before they opened and were one of the first couples seated. It is very small inside, so I recommend using the same strategy. I think it sat maybe 25-30 people total. We had the lobster roll and fish tacos (Sunday special) and both were amazing. Definitely... More

We went based on the recommendation of a Food Network's show. The lobster was very good, the roll was very old and crumbly. Our server was more interested in her conversation with her friends at the bar. Very disappointing.

Hmmm! The wait was one and a half hours for a bar stool at an overcorwded bar. The food was good, but there are many restaurants in the Boston North End with good food and no wait. I had six different types of oysters, all excellent, and a French white wine. The restaurant is small and I went on a... More

You have to show up, leave your name & number, then disappear for a couple of hours (try Zito's Tavern across the street for great Bloody Marys). They'll call you when you can finally be seated but it's worth the wait. Very small & cozy, great service, fresh raw bar with multiple selections. Best lobster roll ever....lightly dressed meat with nothing... More

A local who stopped to help us with directions told us of Neptunes. GREAT seafood. A neat hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. Very attentive servers. A wide selection of fresh oysters that were scrumptious! Pricey but well worth it - treat yourself!

Big fans of Neptune and never visit Boston without a stop by-but seriously-my last trip there was a 2 hour wait-so we walked around and had drinks elsewhere and saw some sights-I think they should do open table-since it is GREAT but I dont wait for ANY restaurant and I doubt I will wait like this again. Weeknight business traveler... More
