Warm Lobster Roll ASAP!

I have to go to Boston often for medical reasons, so you'd think I would take advantage my frequent visits to explore new restaurants each time! NAH.... All I want to do when I drop my bags in the hotel is go back downstairs, get in a cab, haul it over to the North End (Italian district) and get... read more

Finally, made it into Neptune Oyster. Always wanted to try it based on all the good reviews I hear, but ultra small restaurants that are super popular and don't take reservations are not my thing. Especially places that will easily tell you the wait is 2 or 3 hours! In my opinion there is no place worth waiting that long!... More

Great food, freshly cooked and a lovely atmosphere. We had a great meal here last August but had to queue for 2 hours! In January the wait was 5 minutes! The food is great and it a must do in Boston.

The lobster roll was the best I had in Boston and the oysters were incredible. I'm not usually an oyster fan, but decided this was the place to have them and I was not disappointed. We waited for our table at another restaurant a couple of blocks away which had a full bar--would definitely return here again on a future... More

Amazing lobster roll and delicious Spanish inspired octopus. It is small and a bit hard to get a spot, but the wait it is totally worth it. If I go back to Boston, I´ll come back.

If you're a fan of oysters or just seafood in general, you will love Neptune Oyster. The wait can get pretty crazy but my brother and I went anyways and it wasn't too bad. We waited around 30 minutes. If you have to wait longer, you can give them your phone number and they will text you when you're near... More

We walked here through the child because we had read good reviews and also had a personal recommendation from a waitress in another restaurant. The lobster roll was not cheap but hot and buttery style was excellent, not messed with food. The restaurant is small and atmospheric, service efficient and friendly

If you're only in Boston for 24 hours - this must be one of your stops. I'd recommend going for an early lunch (11:30am) or commit to waiting for 2-3 hours for a dinner table. It's worth every second when you enjoy a warm lobster roll w/ butter and the freshest oysters from the raw bar. Space is tight and... More

Be prepared to wait, but it's worth it. This is a very small seafood restaurant. It seats maybe 30 people total. And it's very popular for a reason. We had to wait an hour. But they took our number and told us they would call us. We used the time to walk the North End and stop by the Old... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
