So, let me start by stating - elbow room does not exist here - AT ALL! Prepare to wait a long time - but its worth it. The raw bar is tops. The oysters were schucked correctly, the oysters and clams were super clean, and the shrimp was amazing. The clam chowder - superb (albeit a little thin). The hot... More

I'd heard Neptune Oyster had the best Lobster Roll in Boston. It might be true... mine was amazing, large, hot, moist, buttery and FILLED with lobster meat. Sit at the bar to avoid the wait. Enjoy a local draft beer and delicious fries with your sandwich.

We have to come here every time we come to Boston. Me wife loves oysters and the always have a great selection of the freshest you can get. I had a bowl of PEI mussels that were incredible with sausage, fennel, garlic and pea jus. Paired with a fabulous Nebbiolo rose, fantastic!

Great seafood in the North End. Be prepared to wait. It is a very small restaurant and they don't take reservations. You give them your phone number and then go take a walk to the water or sit in a nearby bar until they call you. We had branzino and a delicious red wine that the server recommended. Was a... More

Happened on this quaint little place. Its small and packed and full of locals. The menu is very varied (with various seafood and oyster options but even offer a steak). Some of the best appetizers we have ever had with the yellowfin tuna and for a main course North End Cioppino which was out of this world. Nice and spicy... More

Neptune gives old-school shellfish lovers a home! I grew up eating steamed clams, which means littlenecks, not steamers. The clams at Neptune were perfectly sized and cooked and reasonably priced, and the building and atmosphere is a like an archaeology expedition into old Boston - perfect!

This place has amazing lobster rolls and oysters. But the wait and the "no reservation" policy make it difficult to get in, which I find horribly annoying. I recommend walking there an hour before you want to eat, putting your name in and then exploring the north end while you wait for their call. It is worth the wait. Oh,... More

This is one of those places you have to visit at least once when in Boston. I will go back everytime I’m there. The Oyster/Clam/Lobster bar is awesome! They have descrptions of each and every individual item on the Raw Bar, super helpful. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly and the food was excellent. I had a few things... More

You will probably have to wait, but it is worth it. If you have never been here before, definitely try the lobster roll and some fresh oysters. I had the clam chowder, Lobster roll, 6 fresh oysters and two guiness. This was probably the only meal I have spent around $70 and thought it was worth it.

Arrived at 11:15am for 11:30am opening and there was already a line. Got in though. Place not big so go early. Oysters were delicious but the lobster rolls were fantastic. Best lobster roll I ever had. Worth the wait and the price!
