I live in Boston and this is one of my favorite places to go. Get there early to squeeze into a seat in this pint-sized restaurant with amazing food.

Visited Neptune on the Thursday night of our trip because we hoped it would be less busy, which it was with only a 90 minute wait. While that may seem like the beginning of a bad review I would still highly suggest Neptune as a must do for the food and experience, not the service. When you first arrive you... More

We sat at the bar for lunch right behind the oyster bar. Watching the oysters being shucked was very entertaining. We ordered the hot lobster roll and the lobster spaghettini and shared. It was hard to decide which was more delicious!

The female manager at this place was rude and disrespectful to the customers. The food including the lobster roll is just average, and given the attitude of the manager I will never be back.

Went by, put my name in the list left my phone number and walked over to Faneuil hall to pass the two and a half hour wait time according to the host. I saw many people say forget it and walk out. Their loss. Pros everything, wine, food was presented correctly, cooked correctly and better flavors than expected. Service ok... More

This was easily the very best lobster roll I've ever had. The lobster was fresh and meaty. The roll was hot and toasted just right, and the butter on the bun worked perfectly with every bite. The fries were an excellent compliment. It was about an hour wait but we were able to walk around the north end while our... More

Lobster, lobster and more lobster! We went on a Saturday and their daily special is the Lobster Clambake. 2 lb lobster, split in half and stuffed with more lobster, then coated in a butter/clam/chorizo sauce, dusted with bread crumbs, baked and finished with fresh crisp snap peas and pea shoots. The waitress described it as the "turducken of lobsters"!! Amazing!... More

Friends and I have visited for an early lunch (11:30) on a number of occasions. This is a small restaurant with minimal seating but excellent seafood. The oysters, from oyster beds in various locations in the Atlantic all carefully documented, are extremely fresh and outstanding. The lobster role made with mayonnaise or butter is generous and among the best around.... More

Just made the cut on the first seating last weekend. The oysters are amazing. The clam dish with bacon amazing. Lobster roll excellent. It's pricey and small and get there early. It's in my husbands top ten favorites anywhere in world!

Disorganized. No reservations accepted, yet it's not really first come first serve like say...Giacomo's (which is delicious by the way). Stop by only to have your name at the end of a very long list. A 3-4 hour wait? No seafood is worth that. Get over yourselves. I will never return.
