Amazing hot lobster roll

The lobster roll was amazing and was filled with huge chunks of meat. Pricey but really really good in a small cool little atmosphere.

The 30 minute (or longer) wait is more than worth it! The oyster selection typically numbers around 20 and they are so fresh. Clam chowder always a good choice and the crab bisque can not be found better anywhere that we have tried. Wine and beer selection is excellent. And the service staff is exceptional; knowledgeable, cheery, helpful. Love the... More

Went with my 16 yo son, our last lunch before flying home. Waited only 10 minutes. Come in small groups if you can. Groups of 4 waited more than an hour for a weekday lunch around 2 PM. Best thing to do is to come and register, than go and wonder around this lovely area of Boston and than come... More

Neptune Oyster gets ink. I read about them everywhere. There are exclamation points! Everyone is waiting on line for lobster rolls and oysters. At two, there is a 30-minute wait. We look around. It reminds me of the Grand Central Oyster Bar in Manhattan. The bill arrives: $100 for lunch and one of us is not that big an eater.... More

I have now been to Neptune Oyster two separate times and had two wonderful experiences. My most recent was to celebrate a family occasion with an oyster lunch. Yes, there is a wait, usually at least an hour as the place is small and fills quickly. Knowing this, we add in a visit to several of the local establishments for... More

Being a lover of all things seafood we decided to check this place on a very cold March day. There was a bit of a wait for a table as the restaurant probably only seats about 30 or so and maybe 10 or so at the bar. We bagged a couple of stools at the bar and had either an... More

Seriously, the BEST lobster roll I have ever had. And I've had a few. They make it cold or hot, get the hot. It comes with melted butter on a roll and it is big. Everytime I am in Boston, this is a must. Restaurant will have a wait, it only seats maybe 50 plus whomever can fit at the... More

Neptunes is just an amazing place. You have to be patient to even get in, but the wait is so well worth it. This is the first time I have ever tried oysters, and I really enjoyed them! Also the lobster salad is amazing! Neptunes is on the top of my list to my next Boston visit.

Intimate. Stylish. Vibrant. Mouth-wateringly good. In search of New England's legendary Chowder and Lobster Roll, after hearing the hype I ventured over to Neptune Oyster. The perks of being a solo traveller prevailed once more and I only had a short wait at peak time before securing a prime spot to dine at the bar. Amidst the rush to satisfy... More

The raw bar is excellent, high quality oysters and they are usually shucked perfectly. This time around a few of them had shell pieces. Cold lobster roll with fries was also very good. The estimated wait time was 2.5 hours but it only took 1.5.
