Great Lobster Roll

I was on my first visit to Boston. I stopped a city worker and asked him where were was the best place to get some lobster. He sent me to this restaurant. The lobster roll was fantastic. The taste of lobster was not hidden by sauces. It was just butter. UM!! What a treat. The restaurant is... read more

This is a very small restaurant on Salem Street. There are only a few tables and usually a wait. We were lucky. We arrived at 5:00 and were a party of five. A large party was getting up to leave as we walked in so we got a table quickly. There was a line forming immediately behind us though there... More

This place was overrated. My friends told me it was awesome and the three of us decided to never go back. I'm a big fan of the Oceanaire in Boston and wish we had of gone there. When I walked in the door it was like they were doing us a favor. We ordered a beer and a seafood tower... More

This place is soooo good. The oysters and other shell fish are the freshest I've ever had; and a huge selection. The bisques and broths were spectacular. The lobster roll is amazing. The wine list is very appropriate for the food and fairly priced. If you love seafood, you will not be disappointed. Call to see how long you will... More

Check. This. Place. Out. Okay, they're all about the oysters and we ate oysters (boy did we eat oysters), and each one was not short of perfect. But we also had a few other dishes at our table including a REAL lobster roll (served both ways: hot with only butter, or cold with a tiny bit of mayo and seasoning).

Like most, if not all restaurants in the North End, this place is small, packed and noisy – we loved it. We sat at the bar, ordered some great local beers and started with some oysters. We then moved on to the lobster roll, which appeared to be what everyone else was ordering and I understand why. It’s a lot... More

If you've never had a Lobster Roll and you're visiting, this is the place to check out. They serve their lobster rolls either warm or cold, your choice. Both are delicious, but my favorite was the roll served cold. The Oysters were delicious. The staff is very knowledgable and were able to help us pick out which oysters we would... More

I had multiple friends suggest this place to me, so expectations were set at an all time high. Definitely the best seafood I've ever had. As mentioned already, oysters, mussels, clams, prawns, crabs were amazing. Neptune Oyster is a must go to restaurant. Definitely gonna be back.

Ate here recently on a cold Wednesday night but managed to avoid the long line as one of our eating companions suffered for 30 mins on our behalf. Unfortunately we were seated near the door which meant that an artic blast was endured about every 10 mins. As noted by others, the restaurant is small & crowded. Again being near... More
