If you live around the Boston area, you most likely know about the Mike's Pasty-Modern Pastry debate. All Bostonians have their pick, I guess, but to me, Modern Pastry is definitely the way to go. Yes, the shop is small and you will probably have to wait in line, but it's totally worth it, especially if you want the cannoli.... More

Great cannoli's with different fillings and dipped in chocolate and dusted with powdered sugar. In the quaint north end.

My son and I ate pastries on Sunday, June 9th in the morning while walking the Freedom Trail. We did not have to wait at all and managed to get a table. The pastries were wonderful and very fresh. Please note that they do not have a bathroom.

This is a smaller version of Mike's Pastries. I had the Tiramisu and my son had cheesecake. Homemade Italian pastries at their best!
