Good Food for Breakfast and Lunch

This is a very popular restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The food is good. It can be a bit of a wait to get seated however, but worth it.

had breakfast here on the 2nd day and that filled us up ready for the long day ahead. I had the bagel with scrambled eggs and bacon, wife had pancakes with cinnamon and apple could not fault the food

We read the reviews on online and never relized how BAD breakfast could be. The coffee was flavorless. The oatmeal was creapy and a weird starchy flavorless consistency. They potaoes had had a medicinal taste and were clearly old. The egged wee bland. The holandaise was just yucky and a weird yellow color. I woud have rated it terrible but... More

Always a queue but always - always worth the wait. Friendly staff - great menu. Boston without a Thornton's breakfast would not be the same. Eat well early morning and then head out round one of the best cities in the world.

Generous portions and variety make this an affordable stop for breakfast. All of the items ordered in our party were well enjoyed.

A great breakfast but be prepared to wait. I really enjoyed my trip here. I had to wait 20 minutes to get in at 10am on a Saturday morning but that's only because they are a small place with a lot of interest. The staff were really friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and coffee once I got in.... More

Went here twice for breakfast and the service and food was amazing! I had pancakes and they were huge and then the next time I had strawberry crepes. Customer service was really good and it was proper American food, like what I've seen on tv! Didn't go for lunch by the menu looked good and it's open until 4.

We went in it was a great window seat with lots of sun and people to watch outside. The food was ok. The chicken was dark meat only, the pickles had no flavor. The other items were fine but nothing special. With the pru and so many choices near by I think I would just pass.

I got the Philly Cheese Steak with bacon and fries it was beyond great it was amazing! My friends got a Chicken Parmesan sandwich and a Turkey Reuben Sandwich and loved them. The decor isn't great but it makes up for it with the food. Our server was very courteous and helpful.

Thornton's was a block from our hotel, so we tried it for breakfast on Sunday morning. We were, as it turns out, wise to get there around 9 a.m. By about 9:45, and until at least 11, the lines of 20 or so people were well out the door, in 20F temps. It's a popular place, and we could see... More
