Nice Spot

We just kind of stumbled into this place. It had a nice atmosphere although they left the windows open and it was a bit cold the whole time we were there. I enjoyed the food a lot!

We had reservations for a party of 6 for a surprise birthday party. We were immediately sat. The server engaged us within a timely manner and begin taking drink and appetizer selections. After drinks came out the server began to take our dinner orders. The dinner was delicious. We continued to order drinks and when the section we were sitting... More

A good Irish bar has plenty of nooks, and the Kinsale doesn't disappoint. I grabbed a pint at the bar and although the service was a bit slow, the beer and atmosphere where good. I tried a Bog iron stinger which apparently is only available in a few bars. For $7.50, it wasn't a bad deal and if I lived... More

I actually ended up going to Kinsale three times during a first visit to Boston. The restaurant was close to where I was staying; had a good selection of Irish entrees and Irish whiskeys; and I liked the atmosphere and the TV's. Lately I have been in the mood to explore traditional Irish cuisine and Boston had a lot of... More

They have a good number of different beers and some of the Irish classic. Good to watch a game with some friends and have a good beer!

We visited here yesterday for some lunch while shopping in Boston. This was our second visit to the establishment, and in view of our previous experience we expected a tasty lunch, but we were disappointed. My first gripe was the chicken sliders at 9 dollars a pop. These were presented in little buns and amounted to three sliders which were... More

I had been wandering around Boston for some time and wanted to get off my feet, was looking for somewhere - anywhere - on a Friday night that wasn't packed. I finally walked by this place and wandered in and was pleasantly surprised. It was lively enough, but not overly crowded. Some live music was just starting when I had... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
