Breakfast for dinner!

Service was fast, corned beef hash was very good, breakfast wasn't greasy like we expect diner breakfast to be. They had tons of eggs benedict to order from, though we didn't try them out. Good food for sure!

We love Diners, but coming from England, they are very rare and we always make sure to visit whenever we come to the USA. We found South Street on TripAdvisor, and the excellent reviews do not mislead. This is up there with the very best, the menu is good, the prices very fair and most important of all the staff... We stumbled upon this little gem late one night after a Red Sox game. We did a search for the nearest 24 hour diner and there were no regrets. I had an order of banana walnut pancakes and my husband had the chili. Food was great. Atmosphere was amazing. Coffee was delicious. Service was fantastic. Will definitely go back!

Awesome cheeseburger with a side of "cheese and gravy fries" I like to call them "Disco Fries" but not everyone knows them by that name. One of my all time favorite places to go, eat, and chill on an off night. Weekends are busy so get in, eat, get out, go home full and happy. Nice people, cool ambiance, great... More

Had late night food here on a one night stay in Boston. Sat up at the counter. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and watching the food being cooked. It was like a live theatre show! The ordering and service wasn't quite as slick as the cooking and our order seemed to get lost in translation but eventually it was sorted and... More

So i've talked to the owner a bunch of times, he's always there working. They do a mean burger and fries here and make sure to get a nice greasy breakfast! It's open day and night any hours. I've been a dozen times now and it's kinda embedded into my permanent walking path through Boston when I visit. Excited for... More

If you live in the city or passing through from overseas you need to stop in the South Street Diner! Great ambiance and even better food. Got something called the "diner special" OMG it was everything you could possibly want on two plates. It does get crazy busy late night so my best advice is know what you want before... More

Great service and value but a bit of a greasy spoon. The coffe was good and egg sandwich freshly made to order but the place was a little smoky. The cook had to be asked to turn the exhaust on that made the air a little bearable.

A great American diner experience around the corner from South Station. A narrow line of diner seats next to a bar, with fast friendly service. This place is apparently open 24/7, but we went for breakfast. There was a huge breakfast menu, and then a separate sheet with 14 types of eggs benedict. You won't need to order your plate... More

We went for breakfast this morning with our 7 and 4 year old kids at the recommendation of the doorman at our hotel. The place is small but we had a good time sitting at the counter, where the kids got to watch the food being cooked. The waitress accidentally ordered me a side of bacon (I had asked for... More
