We went to Bukhara after visiting Arnold Arboretum. It is conveniently close to the Arboretum. I was surprised to see beef curry there, because I had never seen beef in any Indian restaurant's menu. The staff were nice and accommodating. I tried the veggie samosa, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and eggplant dish. The others tried a potato stew and... More

Located in Centre Street in the heart of Jamaica Plains, or "JP" in Boston, Bukhara offers a casual ambience with an outstanding and quite delectable buffet and very curteous servers, at a reasonable price. You can top your visit to JP with ice cream from JP licks, a block away. Cheers!

Three of us went for a Saturday lunch buffet. We were very happy both with the selection and the quality. Not too spicy and very tasty. We've been to many Indian buffets and this was definitely one of the better ones. Included was a choice of tea or juice, appetizers, hot and cold mains, several veggie dishes and some sweet... More

My first visit there and I loved it. It's a great value for "all you can eat". They have many vegetarian options and great bread. The staff are friendly and the place is very convenient for me who works in that area. Parking is not so easy to be found, but with a little patient anyone can find it.

We ate here last Friday night and were generally disappointed with the experience, and especially the food. The lamb dishes were mostly sauce with a small amount of meat. Most of the meat was very tough. The sauce had an odd vinegary aftertaste. I wouldn't go back. Parking is in a municipal lot in the rear. Prices were reasonable, but... More

The service was good, but food and dishes quality is lacking. The okra dish was very dry, there was practically no sauce. The "beef kofta" tasted and looked exactly like any pork "italian or swedish" meatballs from either Ikea or Costco. I can guarantee there was no beef in there. I would not recommend this restaurant considering other Indian options... More

Delicious, wide variety of choices, and attentive service all make this a great spot for a quick or leisurely lunch.

They really go out of their way to adapt traditional North Indian dishes for vegan -- for example using tofu instead of cheese in several dishes. They also have South Indian veg dishes but we did not order them this time -- we'll try them another time. The menu is large and varied, the portions are large, the food is... More

I'm hungry just thinking about this place. Very friendly staff. I really enjoy their Chicken Saag. Definitely one of my favorites in JP.

Visited for the lunch buffet. Well-priced, somewhat smaller selection than I am used to. Food was good, not great. Best dish---fired okra. Service could have used a little more, can I say this diplomatically, English. Other than "buffet", "water" and "bill", I don't think my waiter understood any! Naan was served piping hot. I would try again to see if buffet... More
