The ups, would be the crab. The downs, would be anything else on the menu (especially the steak). The service.... Very slow. Took about 15-20 minutes to get my check. Don't be in a hurry to leave.

I visited the Sea Shack a number of times during a weeks stay at the Boston Backbay and was never disappointed. The atmosphere was informal and the sea food- lobsters, oysters, tuna was fresh and excellent. The service was always friendly and efficient.

We love the Summer Shack when we come to Boston. It has the informal atmosphere of a bar and grill (with the Sox on the TV if course), and had an excellent raw bar, with a selection of oysters and clams. The lobster us divine, and the fish courses good too. Service is friendly and quick.

One of the things I love about being back in the Boston area, is the fact that friends from all over the world eventually pass through our fine city for some reason or another, which gives me a chance to show them the city, or at least share some food, wine and conversation while catching up on both our lives.... they were tolerant of children and let us have the happy hour food even though we couldnt sit at the bar because of the kids. They had great clam chowda , portions were large and cheap .

Ate here our last night of vacation. Wish we had found it sooner! Food was delicious and best oysters I've ever had. Kid friendly, even taking the time to bring lobsters out of the tank for the kids to see and touch. Gets really crowded though, so plan ahead!

Hadn't been here in a while (Cambridge location) and thought we would try it again. It will be a while before we return... Muscles appetizer was tasty but not hot when it arrived. Entrees came before the appetizers were cleared. I asked that they stop and clear the appetizers before bringing any more entrees. I got very confused looks and... More

Good place to get lobster in Boston without paying too much. Lobster rolls are excellent. Very casual atmosphere. Noisy. Good for a group or family outing. Very close to the Hilton and Sheraton, as well as the Prudential Center.

We were staying around the corner at Sheraton Boston and head to Jasper White’s Summer Shack for lunch on our first day. Summer Shack is casual dining, so don't come expecting what it's not. I had my first (and only of the trip) lobster roll ($24) which I asked for easy on the mayo and it was perfect. The roll... More

We ate here one afternoon after seeing positive reviews online. It turned out to be a good pick. The chowder was the best that I tasted on the trip, the staff was friendly and responsive and the food was good. The only detracting point was they had sold out of two of the desserts that we wanted to try. Aside... More
