Great for a long night of eating, drinking, and FUN!

We had a great time here! We snacked on yummy Steamers, Calamari, and Onion Strings and enjoyed their Jameson, Tito's, Tanqueray, and Old Fashioned's. Drinks are pricey--from $8.50 to $11.00 each, but it is Boston after all. Service is fast, friendly, and attentive. A great nightspot!

Recommended by Concierge at Sheraton across the street. We asked for seafood and got it. Walked in and were seated immediately and greeted by a fun and patient waitress who made excellent oyster suggestions. Food was delicious and varies by season and availability. We had scallops and lobster and everything was prepared beautifully. I think we might go back for... More

Visited Boston from the UK with the wife and just had to get some authentic seafood. Trolley bus driver recommended this place. Dont be put off by the unorthodox exterior...its great inside ! Really easy to walk to from most parts of town My surf n turf was delicious washed down with sangria. Reasonably priced also Good service and prompt... More

On a recent visit to Boston, my wife and I were looking for a casual seafood restaurant and came across Summer Shack. This establishment can be considered a cross between a sports bar and a family based sea food restaurant. They appear to have a very popular happy hour and the well stocked raw bar does great business. Hence it... More

Very enjoyable pre-birthday, pre-symphony dinner. Excellent seafood; top flight service. A bit noisy but tolerable. We recommend Summer Shack for those in the Northeastern University area.

...the place was very noisy, and the prices did not really match the level of service and the atmosphere. The menu was a bit hard to understand, and I usually do without any troubles. The waiter was not very keen to help either.

I had the whole clams and they were delicious. The person with me had Fish and Chips and they were great. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. I would definitely recommend.

We stopped on for a late lunch and were surprised to find the place almost empty. We sat at the bar and had great service from a friendly server. We had a dozen superb oysters and an excellent shrimp cocktail. Then things went awry. The "signature" pan roasted lobster was a huge let down. Instead of actually pan roasting the... More

My husband and I ate here on May 4. It is located a block from where we were staying for the week. My husband got the lobster roll and I got the grilled gulf shrimp and sirloin steak tips. Everything was delicious and the service was great as well. Would definitely eat here again when we are in town.

Good for families. The oysters were ok, nothing memorable. Good priced wine by the glass. Lobster roll was $25.00. Our server Kaileigh was great.
