I went there for the crab cake sandwich and the clam chowder (for free!). Was a very satisfactory meal. Sandwich was served with crispy chips. Love the fresh ingredients and the 'Buttery tasted" bread. I won't necessarily do a sit-in as the decor was purely bar setting but not a bad choice for a take-away.

Tried Summer Shack last fall at our hotel staff's suggestion and went back again on a recent trip to Boston. Husband and I loved the steamed chicken lobsters last time, a seasonal treat. We ordered grilled lobster this time and enjoyed it as well, but not as much as the steamed version. Their menu includes other fish dishes, which we... More

We arrived in Boston on a Monday evening and asked about a good place to eat lobster. Our hotel staff directed us to the Summer Shack which was about a half block away. I had a 1 1/2 lb. lobster and it was fabulous! Good price, great food, excellent staff, fun times

The hotel recommended the Summer Shack as a fairly close place to get a lobster roll. I had the lobster roll and clam chowder. The service was good, atmosphere was good. I've had better lobster rolls and chowder. The food was okay and I wouldn't be in a hurry to get back anytime soon.

I first thought I would be caught in a tourist trap by the look of this restaurant but the food was amazing!! We had the crab cakes and then the pan-roasted whole lobster. We really enjoyed the crab cakes but the pan-roasted lobster was absolutely to die for! I am 100% serious, you will love it.

My pursuit to find a good seafood restaurant within walking distance of the hotel was fulfilled by a recommendation by Jen the concierge at the Westin Hotel. The food was great. The place was packed and they kept coming in late into the evening. Strongly urge you make a reservation. Recommend the pan seared lobster.

We walked in on a Sunday night with no reservation and 10 people. They quickly seated us at 2 side-by-side tables of 5. There were several other large parties as well. Service was outstanding, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. We had 4 kids - 15, 10, 10 and 4 and everyone left full and happy. The ambiance here... More
