First I will disclose that I sublet the apt above the restaurant last winter Located at the area Adj to S Boston and the S End this relatively small homey restaurant has been here for decades ( as the menu will testify to those who visited 10 yrs ago the bar area as you enter greets you with with lively... We just moved to the area so we went for Friday night dinner and we'd heard great things. Short rib arancini was bland although texture was nice. Flatbread was inedible--they used whole slices of tomato and the bread was so soggy. Fontina was heavily used and tasted like nothing. My boyfriend's chicken dish was pink and tasted like nothing. He... More

Stopped in for dinner. Didn't know I needed to be patient. Waitress said they all work together. Wasn't able to find out what they worked at. Ended up skipping the beer and never got to order the meal. Good luck with that place

The staff here always make you feel welcome. They have a good menu with selections for everyone. I've dined here many many times and can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal. Excellent food, priced right, good location, welcoming environment. What more can you ask for... Highly recommend it.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff and they were definitely correct! The lobster mac 'n cheese was full of chunks of lobster and tangy cheese while the pumpkin torellone was savory with spices, spinach and a maple-tinged sauce. Great eats in a local, unique setting with a friendly staff.

Whenever I stay in South Boston for business, this is my favorite restaurant spot. The ambiance and staff make this an extremely warm and welcoming spot to eat. And the food is incredible! I had the perfect fall meal this evening of butternut squash soup and a mizo-glazed salmon on a bed of bok choy and wasabi mashed potatoes. I... More

Place is cute. Bar tenders could be more attentive, but they are friendly. Drinks (G&T, Cranberry & Vodka) were poured light - could be better measurements). People seemed to enjoy the food.

The short ribs were fantastic and it had that "local" feel. This is not an Applebee's "chain" restaurant. It was cozy but dark. Bring a little flashlight to read the menu. Other than that the food and service were fantastic.

Having had this restaurant recommended we ate dinner there on our first night and it was so good we went back on the other two nights of our stay in Boston. I chose the flat iron steak and it was quite easily the best meal I have had in the USA. Its not cheap but worth every dollar.
