Site for a Harbor-side Beer and Lunch

It was a hot summer afternoon down by the harbor and Joe's fit the plan perfectly. They have a variety of beers and light snacks which can be enjoyed on an outdoor deck. Need I say more?

On a recent visit to Boston we decided to meet up with friends at Joe's. There was 13 of us and apparently that was 12 too many for our server Gregory or maybe he just didn't want to work on the 4th of July weekend. Service was crazy slow with many mistakes made with our basic orders of wings, salads... More

Right on the water and well placed to sit outside and people watch, that's the upside. I had a chicken Caesar salad and cup of chowder; my wife had the dry cranberry and fruit salad all of which was alright but unspectacular. We went thru two servers, neither got our orders right and both took 3 reminders to bring a... More

It was a hot July afternoon and Joe's was the perfect spot to take a mid-day break and enjoy a great lunch at the edge of the city. Joe's literally sits on the harbor and is bounded by a nice park on the citywide, which is a nice place to sit if the winds off the harbor are up. The... More

After biking around for what seemed like blocks, my friends and I found Joe's. Although we were hesitant because of their double-digit prices, we decided that not getting our bikes stolen was worth the outdoor seating offered by Joe's. We ordered the orange juice (freshly squeezed and delicious!), lemonade, iced tea, fried chicken (tastes as good as it looks), Joe's... More

Ribs were a little dry. Desserts were ok. We had a large group and most enjoyed their meal. Rib meatloaf was very good. Service was good with friendly staff.

Great decor and location, but the pluses stop there. Service and food were poor and just fair respectively. On last nights visit it took 10 minutes to get water and 45 minutes from time of order to get our dinner. French fries were substituted for roasted new potatoes on one order with no advance disclosure (we were out explainecon delivery).... More

I went to Joe's with a party of twelve for breakfast/ lunch last Sunday. We had a reservation and got a very nice table indoors overlooking the water. Our waitress was very friendly and on top of everything, gave us even a heads-up that the latte machine was a little temperamental. Machine worked! Food was delicious, too.

My wife is a lobster roll lover who has tried them all over New England and she rated Joe's to be as good as any and better than most. It had an abundance of tasty lobster meat and just enough mayo and lettuce. I had the fried calamari and it was excellent. The calamari was fresh and prepared very well with... More
