No other Cambodian/Thai restaurant like this in Boston!

I have been coming to Wonder Spice since I lived in Jamaica Plain (for 12 years), Ma. I moved to the North Shore 13 years ago. When I drive into Boston this is the first resaurant I crave for. I travel to South East Asia every year for work. I take my friends fom Thailand here when they visit... read more

We started going here last year and have always had a good meal at very modest prices, compared to Cambridge, Brookline or Downtown Boston. The appetizers are the best feature and plenty of vegetarian options. My personal favorite is the Chicken Saraman, but the Pad Thai and other dishes are also very tasty. This is located in the "main Drag"... More

went here with a group -- lots of options that included tofu and wheat gluten. The fake duck was fun. soup and vegetable dishes were all very good. everyone found something tasty to eat. They also had brown rice -- a nice option that many Thai restaurants don't offer. service was very good

From the minute we walked in I should've known to go somewhere else. We stood at the hostess desk for at least 15 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us but the waitresses just kept walking by not even making eye contact. I finally said something to one of them and she told me they had to clean off the... More

I often get Thai takeout from here while in downtown JP. The staff is always very nice, the takeout orders are ready very quickly, and they are piping hot! The pad Thai here is quite good (my favorite dish) and I wouldn't hesitate to come here for a sit-down dinner.

Went to the Wonder Spice Café for Dinner and was excited to try the restaurant. The menu is extensive and the portions are really huge. I went with a group of friends who really liked their food but I opted for the make your own entrée and ended up with a chicken dish that was bland and dry. Too many... More

Went there last night with a friend for the first time and really enjoyed our meal. The portions are very generous and price reasonable. The place has more covers than you first expect as you walk in. Serving staff are attentive and food arrived quickly though it was late and not any people were still eating. Chilli fish main was... Usually go there for dinner and the staff is always friendly, the food has never disappointed, and they have a really nice patio with lights strung up around the border giving it a nice romantic ambiance during the summer months.

My wife reminded me that we had eaten at this Asian restaurant several years ago and weren't impressed then, but our opinion was basically the same on this visit. We ordered a dish with mango and shrimp but couldn't find either ingredient. Shrimp dishes always cost more, so we felt gypped that they left this out. We had two chicken... More
