Good diner with an excellent beer selection. This ended up being our go-to late night food restaurant. Colorful people staffed and ate at the place. Fun times.
OK... so one out of two 'aint bad. Great selection of beer with daily blackboard specials and imported and local crafts. The food is a bit "hot, brown and plenty of it" in a samey, mysteriously vegetarian, mushroomy, lentily kinda way, but after a few beers it matters little. The setting itself is a tad grimy - a dark, grungey... More
I ate here with some friends, knowing nothing about it, and ordered the vegetarian chili, and a turkey club. For one, the service was terrible. We must've waited 30-45 minutes for a small order and a couple beers. The chili tasted awful. The sandwich wasn't bad, but was only HALF a sandwich, and was still around $7-8, not including anything... More
A friend brought me to the Other Side Cafe after a function on Lansdowne Street. What a great find! It's convenient to Newbury Street and the Prudential Center yet very reasonably priced. There was a row of bike messangers' cycles on the sidewalk in front. Inside it was dark - perhaps too dark for your average middle-class diner - and... More
I instantly fell in the love with the restaurant the minute I walked out of the cold and into the warm dimly lit restaurant which had a very laid back ambiance. We sat upstairs at a table which overlooked the downstairs part of the restaurant providing a perfect view for people watching and food gazing. We examined the very extensive... More
Went here with two of my girlfriends, we had about a 5 minute wait before our table was ready (it's always busy here for brunch) -- the food was delivered to the table fast. Come with an appetite - the plates are huge. My egg dish was fantastic. I love the food here.
I just heard that this place is shutting down at the end of this month. That is so sad. They have such a great location, the best vegetarian food, craft beer selection and smoothies. When I lived in Boston, I used to go often. Since moving away, I haven't been as much, but it was still awesome each time I... More
We stopped as part of our "beer snob adventures" in Boston on a recent visit. Since we are vegetarians, we had a few appetizers wile we tried some of the different beers. Our waitres was very friendly...discussing with us some of the beer we tried and offering suggestions (and samples) of some of her favorites. When we were leaving, we... More
I think the menu at the OtherSide Cafe has something to please everyone! It was a beautiful day for so late in November, so I sat outside and enjoyed the weather and their free wifi rather than sitting inside - I found the interior pretty dark on first glance. In terms of ambiance, I think the target market is a... More
