This place is 'on the map' in a lot of different guides and there are always long long queues... so we had never managed to eat here but eventually we got here for dinner one night. For some reason there were very few diners. The service was good but the food was nothing worth queueing for particularly because this is... More

I love going to this restaurant--my favorite meal is Maple and Chipotle glazed salmon on a bed of creamy polenta and broccoli. I have this every time I dine there. I call to let them know I am coming and by the time I get there, my "spot" is ready for me, wine and water on the table with place... More

Came here for brunch with a friend who loves this place. Decided to give it a shot. First thing I noticed was how expensive the menu was. Usually breakfast is reasonably priced. Went for the French toast with a side of eggs. When I got my plate I was shocked to see the saddest looking French toast I've ever seen.... More

This is a small little café. Lots of locally sourced foods and very high-quality. I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of this tiny little spot. I will return whenever I can.

Stopped in here after taking one of the walks sponsored by the JP Historical Society. I think we all wanted a sandwich or salad but it was Saturday and it was a brunch only menu so we wound up with French Toast and Strata. Both were excellent, in fact, the serving on the strata was HUGE an it was delicious.... More

We live in central Boston and had never been to JP. Encouraged by the TA reviews, we chose this place. We did not mind the student like setting or look. It appeared to be a homely, slightly shabby looking place that would surely deliver flavoursome hearty, honest food. We ordered leek and potato soup to start. The soup was watery... More

Don't let the shabby appearance put you off, this is a great 'honest' place to dine. The staff are friendly and welcoming while the food is wholesome, full of flavours with a well thought out menu to choose from. I started with a local Summer Larger to drink as a aperatife while I chose a cup of the Gazpacho (perfect... More

If you are conscious of what you eat and want delicious breakfast/brunch option THIS is your place. We had amazing food here and everything was so fresh. The french toast portions were big to share so amazing. You won't go wrong with anything you order. The hardest thing is deciding WHAT to order.
