Authentic Chinatown food in Brighton -- much improved since previous visits

I've eaten lunch at Victoria's many times over the last several years, but always expecting (and receiving) no more than run-of-the-mill food, so it was a very pleasant surprise, on a recent visit, to find that the quality of their dishes has really improved a lot. The portions, which were always... read more

I used to live in Boston area and eat in this restaurant often. Famous for its twin lobster menu, especially its spicy salt and ginger scallion. I also like the spicy salt squid, pork chop, and garlic peapod. Had a chance to eat there again recently. The restaurant is still the same and the food there still fits my taste... More

I had not been to this restaurant in a number of years and recently went for lunch. It did not disappoint. We knew pretty much ahead of time what we would order. We had the twin lobsters done in ginger and scallions The lobster was most tasty cooked this way. To accompany the lobster we had an order of schezhuan... More

We have eaten at Victoria's about once a month...for the past 12 years! Awesome, fresh, authentic Chinese cuisine conveniently located on Commonwealth Avenue not far from Boston University. Any American will absolutely love the Westlake Soup and Salt-and-Pepper Fried Calamari or Shrimp. The beef and Chinese vegetable is incredible. Along with the bubbly hot white fish, the sweet-and-sour pork and... More

Great fresh seafood. real authentic Chinese food. You see mostly chinese families eating there and especially for special occasions. there other dishes besides seafood are delicious as well. It is not a place to dine, it is a place to go and eat.

I have a friend who swears by this place and finally convinced me to go along with her. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share among our group. The food is authentic and pretty cheap for the amount you get. Only problem I had with it was that a lot of it was overly salted.

We came here to meetup with family in Boston (we're Chinese). The atmosphere is definitely that of a traditional Chinese restaurant - super casual, slightly rundown - the dishes were quite authentic and tasty so no complaints here. Apparently, my Chinese relatives only visit this place when they go out for dinner.

Students at BU recommend this restaurant because it is close by, and has reasonable prices. The food is okay, just like your neighborhood local Chinese take-out. The servers were not very attentive.

When our family went to eat at this place, it was amazing! Everything is very authentic and affordable for the quantity that they offer. The service is very good too. We will definitely be going back for more!

This Chinese restaurant is on Commonwealth Avenue in the midst of Boston University. There is a full Cantonese Chinese menu rivaling that of restaurants in Chinatown, including more exotic dishes. The prices are quite reasonable, the portion sizes ample, and the flavors quite good. Service is fast (once you get the waiter's attention). On weekends and evenings, there are lots... More
