After too many meals downtown on a business trip I wanted to find something low key to have dinner with my college student niece. She recommended this local tapas restaurant and while I was initially a bit skeptical I find it a great choice. The offerings provide both carnivores and vegetarians (what can you do about your kids tastes) with... More

We were looking for a nice restaurant to eat in. Tasca had the right appeal, so we went in. We were early and there were a lot of free tables. We got a nice one. The menu was a challenge because of the Spanish, I don't speak. Our waiter provided some help. Our diner was very good and we enjoyed... More

Tasca is a neighborhood find on the Boston/brookline border. Great food and old world atmosphere, featuring special tapas and sangria nights, classical guitar and friendly staff.

I wasn't expecting much, but the restaurant had a really nice cosy atmosphere and the service was warm and friendly and attentive. Got a great bottle of wine, six tapas between two of us (which... We went with a few friends for dinner. It was a very rocky start as they were very busy. It has a great atmosphere and it's very lively, great for a friendly get together. Loved the food, the mushrooms are to die for as are the potatoes. If your a chocolate lover you will love the chocolate pudding. All in... More

Service was great. A never ending revolving whirl of fabulous plates. Each unique and memorable. We ate way too much as we could not help ourselves given the wonder tapas. Owner was personally involved. Beer and wine but no full bar so have your cocktail prior .

It was like taking a trip back to Madrid. I really enjoyed having tapas here. The sangria was also excellent. Can't wait to go back again soon!

Having had tapas only in the U.S., I can't vouch for the authenticity of the food. But I've had Spanish tortilla a number of times in this country and in Argentina, and this was the tastiest version of that dish I've eaten -- it was light and more souffle-like, which was great, as potatoes can be heavy. The tarta, also... More

This is not my first time here but it should be my last. The only reason I would even think of going back here would be to have the wine. The wine choices were plentiful and great but the food was not good. We ordered the meatballs which were greasy, the shrimp that was without seasoning and the escargot which... More
