Loved this little neighborhood charm. Great to see such a multicultural clientele in a little mom and pop Italian trattoria. The walls are painted in murals representing the owners' origins in Abruzzi Italy. The food was fresh and not just your standard fare. The portions were very generous. The bombaste dessert looked absolutely yummy. Just a little too noisy and... More

We were a foursome from out-of-town on a Thursday evening. The food was quite good (lobster ravioli and marsala) and reasonably priced. Enjoyed a bottle of pinot grigio, also reasonably priced. Service was very good. Were it not for the noise level, I would have rated it a 4. This is not the place to go if you want to... More

Very enjoyable neighborhood restaurant. Very friendly and warm service. It is very small inside but by the time we left, people were lining up outside. Porcini ravioli was gorgeous

We were staying in the neighbourhood and looking for a moderately priced dinner. Antonio's menu looked appealing, nothing over $20, so we dropped in. I had their specialty, Veal allo Antonio, so delicious and tender and a very generous serving. A small loaf of wonderful fresh bread accompanied the meal. The menu includes chicken, seafood and pastas as well as... More

First time here and it won't be our last. We were greatly immediately and tended to thoughtfully throughout our lunch. We felt as though our waitress truly cared if we were enjoying ourselves or not. The food was delicious, authentic, not the "Italian food" you find everywhere, this was North End good, without the North End price. We topped our... More

Wow. Came here with a large group of friends and we all left very satisfied. The bread and olive oil was incredible and the service super friendly. I would definitely come here again!

Carlo's has been delivering quality North End style food and atmosphere without the hassle for years. The prices are what you'd expect in the North end, as are the portion sizes. The food is better than in a lot of the spaghetti factories up there though. If you're lucky the resident manager and personaggio (character), Gaetano will wait on you,... More

My wife and I wanted to take our college aged son and his 4 roommates out to dinner and I discovered Carlos Cucina on Tripadvisor. We called in advance and made a reservation and because of the size of our group we were allowed to do this (smaller groups are not allowed to reserve). We were lucky enough to have... More

My boyfriend and I chose Carlo's for our Valentine's Day dinner destination. The reviews on TripAdvisor sounds fantastic and my boyfriend was impressed by the restaurant's authenticity - the staff even spoke in Italian to him when he called to make a reservation after recognizing his Italian last name (haha). It is a small and intimate place, very much like... More
