I am on a low salt diet, and this was no place for me. I asked carefully, received a heavily salted meal, sent my food back, but it came out again heavily salted. My gluten free friends also had trouble because its almost all fried food. But the couple of us in our party with no dietary requirements loved it.... More

Had a delightful lunch on a cold wintery afternoon. The surprising highlight was their chicken soup. It's hard to get excited by such a mundane dish but I have to say it was perfection. Service was great and the ambiance was cozy. Did not have the Cubano but it looked really good. The Cuban coffee was excellent.

On a bitter day, a cup of hot chocolate and a classic Cubano were welcome and delicious. Service was speedy and gracious. next time we are in Boston we'll go back for another sample. Easy to park, too, and lots of interesting decor.

A classic cubano is a beautiful thing. There is not a consensus among cubano eating fans as to if the sandwich was invented in Florida or Cuba. But one thing is true, and that is that most places outside of Florida really F-it-up when it comes to the classic Cubano sandwich (never been to Cuba so I can't say). A... More

I don't know Cuban food all that well, except when it comes to Cubanos. I've had them in many settings with large local Cuban populations, and love the sandwich. El Oriental does it right. Their Cubano-especial with everything is a delicious, fresh, and filling lunch. The service is very pleasant and efficient. I'll eat here once every other week.

I discovered this place on my last year of college, and it's still the place we go to for consistent, delicious, Latin food from the Caribbean. The place is touted as Cuban, but it has gems from Puerto Rico and the Dominican republic (The cuisines are millimeters apart). The Congri and Carne frita is nostalgic. The Mofongo is one of... Nice place to find to have a best possible coffee in an area! The staff are very friendly an helpful and addressed all needs while making a special coffee. There is cozy seating area infront of the place, so during goid weather you can seat and injoy your cap of coffee out side.

One of the friendliest and tastiest food experiences ever. Terrific neighborhood restaurant. Great for a family with little kids.

First things first: This place has the best flans you will get anywhere: deep sexy caramel taste that makes you crave for more! I also had a Cuban steak sandwich -- crispy bread, delicious insides, utterly Cuban and terrific!
