I had some sort of seafood medley in a rich soup mix of basil leaves and chili spices. Seriously hot. One of my favorite Thai restaurants. The servings are huge and the location on Commonwealth Ave makes it a great and affordable place.

I love the food here - so many vegetarian options too! I have been quite disappointed with thai food in the US in general but I really enjoy the food here! Only 4/5 stars because the service is rather bad. The staff is uninterested at best, so go there only for the food.

I got the basil fried rice dish with beef. The rice was a bit too tough to chew on (although it could be just the way brown rice is). The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, but I definitely have much tastier thai dishes before.

We were a little underwhelmed. The menu was massive but they didn't want to adapt any dish for one ingredient. The food tasted a bit sweet and not very delicate, how Thai should taste. It was just ok, I'd say. Probably better options worth searching out. That said it was a busy place and had a good vibe.

We have been here several times before events at either the Agganis Arena or at BU. The food here never disappoints. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable. They do not take reservations for small groups but it doesn't seem to be an issue getting in. For those with gluten concerns, they seem to be able to accommodate that... More

I’m a regular at Brown Sugar for lunch and occasionally stop by for dinner; I recently had one of those occasional dinners, the start to an evening out with friends. The menu is quite long, and it is worth exploring some of the dishes that are less familiar (to US tastes). This time though, I had a simple dish from... More

I love thai food. I used to go here when i was in college. Very affordable and delicious food. I was there recently and i had the chicken with cashew nuts and it was served in a whole pineapple. It was delectable. Plenty of room and parking is available on the street. The pad thai is to die for!!!

I dined at Brown Sugar over 10 years ago and was looking forward to returning. This evening was a big disappointment. To put this in perspective, I eat Thai food frequently and enjoy the subtle flavors and interesting juxtapositions of hot and sweet. I ordered an appetizer and main dish, and both were ample portions. The chicken in the satay... More
