Very good

Super friendly staff! Really good food - the fish burrito and the fish tacos were excellent, terrific fresh fish though I wasn't super excited about the tortillas on the tacos - but the tortillas on the burritos were excellent. El pelon is consistently good. I've come here on many occasions. The burrito with the plantains is amazing! Also love the enchiladas.

Without doubt , amazing food. I always accompany my mexican friends there so that I eat the best that they are ordering. The portion sizes are appropriate (neither small that you will need to order more nor too big that food will be wasted).

Our Carne Asada (Grilled Steak) Burrito with Crema and Guacamole ($7.50 +) was a mostly excellent, complete meal, the only negative being that the steak was occasionally tough. The lesser cut is the price for keeping it more affordable. Our pick over Anna'sTaqueria.

And I'm not just saying that. I've literally fallen in love with their burritos, especially the peacado (fish) burrito. This place is always busy and for good reason. Always worth the wait!

I went there while visiting a friend studying at Boston College. I took a grilled chicken burrito and have to say it was delicious and filling for a good price. Only downside was that it had jalapeno in it and i can't really do spicy at all, so beware if you're like me, ask them to remove spicy ingredients.

Pretty good Mexican food. Very popular among the BC crowd considering its location(me included in this group). Tacos are good and have interesting ingredients in them. Not a fan of the tortilla they use but other than that they are great. Burritos and quesidillas are very good despite quesidillas being a little on the greasy side. I always go back!

Looks like a typical college joint. The service was fast and outdoor seating is nice. The food is ok, but not great. I had a carnitas burrito. The filling was good quality and fresh. I just thought the meat could have been seasoned better and it needed a little zip. I ahte saying this, but either Moe's or Chipotle makes... More

We were visiting Boston for the Marathon week. Ended up going here. We are vegetarians with Gluten restriction. We really enjoyed the food here. It was so delicious and fresh. The hot sauce and crema were great. Would definitely eat here again. Staff was friendly. Main clientele are kids from Boston College.

The Boston area has a dearth of Mexican/Central/South American restaurants. Thank goodness we have El Pelon. Tasty, well prepared offerings and they are not afraid to turn up the heat if you ask for it. The staff if terrific, upbeat and always eager to please.
