If you have never had pizza at Santarpio's, you are missing a truly Boston experience. Similar to Ray's in NYC, you go for the whole dining feel, not just for the pizza. The pies are very good though. And the "yesteryear" vibe is great. We always stop in after a trip home via Logan. Right on the way to the... More

Santarpio's is a throw back in time. It is not fancy but it is clean and you will NEVER walk away hungry or disappointed in your meal. The pizza's are the best. I have traveled to many a place and have yet to find a place comparable. I have friend's that make Santarpio runs from western Mass. The grill food... More

Ok, so I haven't traveled the whole world to test pizza places, but I've been eating at Santarpios since I was a kid. And since I have been to several states and now live in PA, I can say that Santarpios is STILL the best pizza. I always recommend Santarpios to friends visiting Boston.

I've been to the orginal in East Boston and the one up route 1, and the result is the same. Happy face. I was reviewing Regina when I realized I haven't reviewed my favorite "go to" pizza place. The crust and the sauce are what make it special. There's a slight spice to the sauce, minimal sweetness and the crust... More

After sightseeing in Salem most of the day, we had quite an appetite when we arrived. We had the best waitress. She kept the cold beers coming as inhaled the best pizza we've had in a long time. She gave us a sample of their homemade sausage, which was delicious. I wish I lived in Boston so I could come... More

Bring the appetite and some cash. No plastic. Great pizza. A little greasy. Limited menu. Pizza, beer and sausage. Silverware test-don't know. I eat pizza with my hands. However, I have my doubts about the silverware. Fun and good. Try it!

My boyfriend and I started out our quest for food at the East Boston location and found a giant line up. We tried to see if we could get a faster take out order so we went to the side entrance and stepped right into the kitchen behind yet another, albeit smaller line. Nobody paid us any attention and it... More

If your visit to Boston does not take you to East Boston, other than to fly in and out, definitely make a stop on your way out of town at Santarpio's. A hard right as you pop out of the tunnel towards Logan and you will be looking right at the place. This is a terrific old style, neighborhood, pizza... More

We went to Sentarpio's after my boyfriend read it was a great place for pizza in Boston. We weren't disappointed but what made it even better was Tony who entertained us with his authentic Boston charm. We will be going back!!!

Our time at the restaurant started extremely well. The service was very good and waiters helped us when needed. We ordered lamb to begin. It was charcoal roasted and absolutely delicious. Then we ordered 2 Pizzas. 1 Cheese and 1 half meat and half vegetarian. Some of us were not allowed to eat pork. Both pizzas tasted delicious. But the... More
