We traveled to Boston for the weekend, and decided to just stay in and order pizza. We asked the bell boy downstairs at the hotel and he suggested this place. I am so glad he did!! We got a deluxe pizza minus the anchovies and let me tell you it was DYNAMITE!! My husband went to pick it up, it... More

We were in Boston this weekend and got take out pizza from Santarpio's in East Boston. This doesn't sound very exciting but is a unique experience. To get your take out pizza you have to go in a side door that takes you right into the pizza kitchen. You wait and watch while they make the pizzas non stop. How... More

Go to Boston often, so decided to try their best pizza, according to review. Place was very run down, which was expected, but I thought the pizza would overcompensate. It was okay, but could name a dozen places in CT that are better. Too much sauce, not enough cheese. Crust not very tasty either. Boston is great for restaurants, but... More

Santarpio's is a Boston institution. It is a 100+ year old, family run establishment in a working-class neighborhood in East Boston. This isn't some artisan fluff at a Millennial gastro pub. This is classic Old World goodness that The Bambino himself probably ate. At Santarpio's, they focus on making great pizza and avoid complicating their menu with other food. The... More

There is a continuing discussion of the relative merits of Santarpio"s pizza in E. Boston vs. Regina's in the North End. From time to time, purely in the interest of public service, I try Santarpio's to determine if the gap is closing. While Santarpio's makes a pizza to be proud of, it remains in second place. Go early on a... More

We went on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm and had to wait outside for a table. Didn't wait long as there were only 2 of us, but it was well worth the wait. Lifelong Boston area resident who had heard of this place, but never took the opportunity to try it out. Would definitely go again. We ordered a cheese... More

My family is always searching for the best pizza. We use Santarpio's as the standard for judging all others. This is a local place, which is part of what makes it work. This is not an easy find for tourist which gives it a real Boston flavor. Yes, you have to wait in line, sometimes outside in bad weather but... More

Garlicky good! And the sausages are great. A good stop coming or going from Logan Airport. Even the Governor stopped by the day we went.
