Been there twice...first time great, second time not so much. Average - Very Good

Pizza is good but if it’s the best pizza in Boston then Boston has a problem with Pizza. OK…pizza is good but not consistent. Been their twice. First time it was great…second time we ordered steak tips, pizza to eat there and one to go. Took an inordinate of time for the steak tips to arrive. I... read more

I don't even know why I would bother writing a review of this place because it would only be for those who have never heard of this best in class pizza joint. I don't know what I liked more the food or servers. Both were excellent. Go there even if it is out of your way. You will rethink pizza... More

I've been going here since I was little. My dad and grandfather love this place so it's always special when we all get together when we go. Now, be warned, the place is a little...scary. It's dark, dingy, and some born and bred Bostonians frequent the place. The staff are a bit grumpy and direct, not super friendly. But the... More

I love pizza. This is the best pizza in Boston. By far. It's an East Boston dive. It's been around for over 100 years - originally as a bakery. Now all it serves is pizza, and sausage/lamb grille as an appetizer. No salads. No pasta. Simple. The wait staff has been there for years and are part of what makes... More

Boston has so many pizza places. Friends recommend this place. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Pizza was great and the service was fast. If your in the area it is worth a visit.

I have lived here my whole life and don't (to this day) understand the line outside the door for this place. So I eat the pizza (I live right down the street) and it's never so good I want to wait for it. I am a Bianchi's girl I guess... THAT is the best pizza available. My second favorite would... More

I'm a pizza snob. I eat pizza at least three times a week. I also travel all over the U.S. and have eaten at hundreds of pizza places. Santarpio's is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The only place better, which is very similar to Santarpio's, is Filippi's Pizza Grotto in San Diego. Everything about the pizza... More

TA has finally disappointed me. Although the sauce and cheese makes the pizza here tasty, the crust ruins the experience. They over cook the pizza and you need to break or crack teeth to eat the crust. The other reviewers that say it compares to the much better North End competitor are delusional.

I think this is a great stop on the way back to the airport for those traveling and visiting Boston. It's old school in many ways, and you need an open mind as the place has been there a long time without getting a face lift (good or bad, depending on your view). Get a pizza. Note that there are...
