If your visit to Boston does not take you to East Boston, other than to fly in and out, definitely make a stop on your way out of town at Santarpio's. A hard right as you pop out of the tunnel towards Logan and you will be looking right at the place. This is a terrific old style, neighborhood, pizza... More

We went to Sentarpio's after my boyfriend read it was a great place for pizza in Boston. We weren't disappointed but what made it even better was Tony who entertained us with his authentic Boston charm. We will be going back!!!

Our time at the restaurant started extremely well. The service was very good and waiters helped us when needed. We ordered lamb to begin. It was charcoal roasted and absolutely delicious. Then we ordered 2 Pizzas. 1 Cheese and 1 half meat and half vegetarian. Some of us were not allowed to eat pork. Both pizzas tasted delicious. But the... More

You don't come here for the service. IF that's what you're looking for, keep searching. But the truth is, we don't really go to restaurants for service - the point of eating out is because the food is good, right. Well, the food here is OUTSTANDING!!! Santarpio's is an institution in Boston. The long line you wait in is absolutely... More

One of the first stops when visiting family is always Santarpio's in East Boston. You won't find tourists because the natives fill the seats ( booths). The food is simple, tasty and always a pleasure any time of day, any meal. If you go early, you will not have to wait in line.

A genuine bar with a genuine welcome and some great food. Had a meat lovers pizza and a shrimp pizza (share between four of us). Also had the lamb and steak as a starter to share. Really good. Good value and friendly service, go inside for a seat. Pizza is top notch, really worth going here if you are in... More

Very good pizza, I like their pizza better than Regina's. Doesn't get the publicity Regina's might but it's as good if not better.

CASH ONLY. Do not let the unassuming building scare you away- for it holds a treasure within- Santarpio's!! Pizza is the way to go here! Perfect thickness for the crust and the right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. Yum, heavenly!! You know they are doing something right when you walk in on a Wednesday shortly after 11:30am and the... More

This is the ultimate old-school pizza joint. If you're looking for a fancy place, look elsewhere. If you want terrific pizza along with some fabulous meat from the grill, here it is. Very inexpensive and outstanding. Service does not always come with a smile, but given the food, I'll take the tradeoff.

Not fancy and unassuming but fantastic pizza!!! It appears to be family run with a simple menu and lots of locals who they seem to know by name. This place will be 1st on our list when we go back to Boston!
