Definitely one of the best Italian meals I have had! Very cozy restaurant. What a gem! You will need a reservation for this place. The pasta is fresh and delicious! Reasonable prices!

This is one of the Best!!! Restaurants in Boston's North End. And unlike others, they take reservations. It is small and conversations fill the space. The pasta is fresh and I would recommend spending a few dollars extra for the pasta made at the restaurant. The bolognese is among the best I have ever had. The eggplant parm is another... More

It was cozy and family run. The prices were reasonable and my friend who is Italian loved the food. The atmosphere reminded me something from mystic pizza when the snowflakes were falling gently to the ground outside. Interesting neighborhood to walk around including Paul Revere and North Church right around the corner.

I'm not sure why I thought we didn't need a reservation but the got us in anyway. Crazy busy! Lisa was our server and she was phenomenal. I felt like was at someone's home for dinner. We never felt rushed and the food was simply awesome. I look forward to our next visit.

We were looking for an Italian restaurant in the North End of Boston and there are plenty to choose from. This one did not disappoint. Small and cosy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food was all freshly prepared and very tasty. Glad we booked as there was a queue outside. Would recommend the specials.

When in Boston one should always do the North End especially if you enjoy Italian food. There are dozens and dozens of Italian restaurants in the North End. I have been to "Al Dente" a number of times in the past 4 years. My only complaints would be that the maitre'd is a little arrogant and sometimes the staff appears... More

My wife and I were in the North End and had Al Dente recommended to us by our sons Brother and sister in law. We went at lunch on a Sunday and were seated immediately. This is a typical Italian restaurant, noisy, cramped and full of great smells. Our waitress, Angela, came over to greet us and took our drink... More

The food and service are absolutely great! This is my favorite spot in the North End It's old school Italian with reasonable prices, good portions and very family like. Don't miss this spot for dinner!

Definitely my regular place in the North End. The restaurant is small and charming. The wait staff are like family. Dishes are large and delicious. Don't pass this place by. After dinner head to Hanover Street for dessert. Don't forget to wander the North End. It is a jewel of a neighborhood.
