Stumbled upon this place while exploring lil' Italy. Very friendly staff. Came early and were able to get a table. If you look closely there are a few wines by the glass that are excellent. Look for the montepulciano by the glass as well as the Sangiovese. We ordered the burrata and the octopus. On this occasion the burrata was... More

10 of us went for Dad's 80th birthday. We were seated at a very spacious, comfortable table. Our waiter, David, was professional, precise, personable, and funny - a big plus for our family. He was attentive without being intrusive - another big plus. The food was artfully cooked. Having a few people in the family who have sodium restrictive diets,... More

This was our third dining experience at Artu's & we are never disappointed.the Veal Parmesan is the best in what has to be one of the most famous Italian restaurant areas in the country. The wine selection will satisfy any wine lover. It's a cozy warm setting with some great art work too!

Last summer some friends and their children were visiting from LA. Without reservations on a SATURDAY they were able to fit us in. As usual it was delicious!

We had an 8:15 reservation for 4 on Saturday night December 12. The restaurant was packed with a waiting line. We notified the hostess upon our early arrival and then 2 other times as 8:45 came and went. When returning to the hostess at 9:00 PM she acted surprised to see us? she claimed she called our name (not true)... More

We had dinner here on our last night in Boston; Artu was recommended to us by a manager in on of the retail shops. I had the veal Parmesan and my wife had a chicken dish (I can't remember the specifics). Both were fantastic and if I had another night in Boston, I would go back. Service was great also.... More

We were recommended to this place by a colleague who lives in the North End. This is one of his favorite places. It's now one of mine. Some of the best Italian food you'll eat. The Broccoli Rabe and Sausage is one of the best I've had.

Wonderful staff, great food and drinks. The Apps are large so be careful and don't fill up on them because your main meal is also large. The quality of the food is wonderful.

We have fallen for two women that they are going in big gestures and yet more words, for 20 years from Artu and there is nothing better for them admit. For us there are better, especially at the Hanover Street. Uncomfortable atmosphere, supercooled service and food at the lower end of the scale.

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
