Excellent food, but noisy !

I went there with a friend. We were in a little room, with groups of like 6 to 10 persons. The service was excellent, almost no waiting time. The food was very good also; We both had hand made fresh pasta. But, we found ourselves eating really fast, because we couldn't hear ourselves talk. Other... read more

Like us you are horrified by the line front of Giacomo's? You even suspect that with such a notoriety they will be complacent or overpriced... Well, we found the perfect alternative! Artu gave us a table very quickly, we got very good service by the personnel as soon as we got inside. And the good surprise comes from the quality... More

How do reward yourself for a busy day visiting Boston area colleges? Another great meal in The North End. After much debating and input from the folks here at TA, I settled on Artu to try. Located just off Hanover Streets hustle and bustle, this is not an old school "Red Sauce" restaurant with checkered table cloths and "That's Amore"... More

We have a favorite restaurant in the North End but it was time to branch out and try something new. We met friends who had dined at Artu once before so we gave it a try with them. We made a reservation for 5:30 because we had a concert to attend and we wanted plenty of time to visit. We... More

I had a night to myself while in the N. End and decided to go to Artu again. The bar is quite lively , even during the week. I chose to sit on the restaurant side and dine. The service was great as well as my Bolangse. The staff was very friendly and courteous and I will return again!!

Good food and service. This is an old-school North End restaurant with food like your Italian grandmother would make (if you had an Italian grandmother.

Having travelled all over Italy, Artu felt like I had stepped into an upscale restaurant there; of course it's in the North End, but not all North End restaurants really feel authentically Italian. The wine list is outstanding, the service exceptional and the food excellent. Everything is made to order, so don't go if you're in a hurry. This is... More

There are lots of great Italian choices in the North End but we really enjoyed this place. Service was great. Pasta and salads were fresh.

After a few hours on the Freedom Trail and exploring Boston, we were famished. We consulted Trip Advisor on our phone and came across reviews for Artu. We decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, we had a delicious Italian meal that day. The cheese platter was a great start, the pizza was unbelievable and the pasta dishes and meatball... More

Small party of family and friends went here. Had an excellent meal and the waitress we had was just so friendly and patient. She gave us menu advice, and chatted about the area a bit, even suggesting other restaurants we might want to try. I mean, just really nice folks. Add to that the delicious food (and sangria), and we'll... More
