A top choice among authentic Italian neighborhood restaurants.

Lucia's is in the heart of the Italian North End, and claims the place of first (in 1977) to bring authentic Abruzzi cuisine to the now-bustling neighborhood. It share a street corner with the 1802 St. Stephen's Church. We last visited on a busy Saturday (5:45 pm) but were seated immediately. We... read more

This was the restaurant we chose for our Italian experience in the North End on our recent visit to Boston and it didn't disappoint. We stumbled upon it when on the Freedom Trail and decided to make reservations for dinner that night. We we're so satisfied with our choice. It has the feeling of being a nice restaurant with an... We decided on Lucia on Hanover after passing the multitude of other restaurants, many with lengthy waits. We were the first diners at 5:30 on a Friday evening. Part of what helped make our decision were the paintings on the ceilings. There is a Sistine Chapel replica on the second floor. The service was fantastic and the food was second... More

We walked Hanover Street for some time looking for a restaurant for dinner. Nothing was popping out until we looked at the menu of Lucia's and the lady inside waved us in. That was enough for us, everyone else had ignored our interest. It ended up a good choice. The service was friendly and the food was fast and delicious.... More

Went to Lucia with a large party. The food was traditional Italian and there were absolutely no complaints. The chicken marsala was exceptional. There were also some nightly specials that are not on the regular menu that were really good. Friends raved about the veal chop special. We had drinks in the bar first while we waited for others to... More

We were warmly greeted and seated at the time of our reservation on a Saturday night. Service was highly attentive and informative. All dishes were freshly prepared with the finest ingredients. Small bar on lower level was perfect for after dinner drinks. My new favorite in the North End!

There are many great restaurants to choose from in the North End and Lucia's is one of them! The food is consistently good and the prices are fair (for Boston). There is an extensive list of pasta dishes and the Secondi options are varied (and come with a side of pasta). I have been here several times and have always... More

We enjoyed our family dinner at this magnificent ristorante. Valet parking was conveniently located in front of the restaurant. Service was very friendly and attentive with kids and everyone in the group. Dishes were very good. Marco Polo expectedly delicious with seafood and pasta. However, the Ammazzafame was even better or more daring. Wine selections were excellent as well. Great... More
