we came across this restaurant in walking distance from our hotel. It was a slice of ITALY. The table was next to a window across from the firehouse and it was great to be able to sit and enjoy a fantastic dinner, with candle light. Highly recommend over the Florentine Restaurant as they were not as accommodating in getting us... More

Arrived from Europe ..this was our first dinner in Boston, reception was nice, table setting good, server was OK..food was good. However what made this not so special was the speed to try and get us to finish, bill came without asking for it, even though we still wanted to have desserts..then after we finished we were asked to add... Fantastic experience. Very friendly waiter (who was also very patient because he let me order in Italian) and without a doubt one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. My only (minor) complaint is that I wish the wine list was more extensive. A lot of choices from California as I recall, and I wish there were more wines... More

Lucia suited our large party of 10 on a Saturday night. The food was delicious all around. I think each of the Italian dinners had a different flare, too. I had a chicken dish that had fried artichokes on top that set this dish apart from any other. We sat downstairs and I loved the brick wall and old ceiling... More

We were walking in Little Italy and didn't want to wait for a table, so we tried this restaurant. The hostess was very friendly, but then we did not see a waiter for at least 20 minutes after we sat down. The hostess came by to refill our water glasses and we asked if we had a waiter, and her... This was the restaurant we chose for our Italian experience in the North End on our recent visit to Boston and it didn't disappoint. We stumbled upon it when on the Freedom Trail and decided to make reservations for dinner that night. We we're so satisfied with our choice. It has the feeling of being a nice restaurant with an... We decided on Lucia on Hanover after passing the multitude of other restaurants, many with lengthy waits. We were the first diners at 5:30 on a Friday evening. Part of what helped make our decision were the paintings on the ceilings. There is a Sistine Chapel replica on the second floor. The service was fantastic and the food was second... More

We walked Hanover Street for some time looking for a restaurant for dinner. Nothing was popping out until we looked at the menu of Lucia's and the lady inside waved us in. That was enough for us, everyone else had ignored our interest. It ended up a good choice. The service was friendly and the food was fast and delicious.... More
