Wonderful family meal on a snowy evening

We had a reservation for 8 on a snowy Saturday night and despite the weather Lucia did not disappoint. The staff was gracious and the food was wonderful. Lucia is on the far side of Hanover Street but with the poor weather it was not difficult to get there. Great meal and evening.

Food was very good and the service outstanding. We chose the quiet lower level dining room and found it cozy and well appointed. Very attentive and helpful staff.

Service was friendly, food was excellent, prices were reasonable, atmosphere was old-school (which we liked). We will be going back for sure. We happened to go on a cold winter evening when business was slow, but be advised that even at the far end of Hanover St. (an extra 2 minutes walk) it can get very busy and reservations are... More

The pasta I had was absolutely delicious. The pasta had little shrimp on it and tasted amazing. The service was good and had Italian waiters which shows you something. This is by far the most tasteful and authentic Italian food I have ever had.

Great Italian food, large servings and reasonable prices bring us back often! The wait staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Every dish we've tried from appetizer to desert has been delish and the wine list is more than adequate. Slightly off the beaten path this fine establishment is the real deal and worth a... More

Our family had a relaxing and excellent dinner at Lucia Ristorante. I had the Chicken Parmesan and my kids had other excellent pasta dishes (I tried the penne with vodka sauce and it was very good!). My wife had a veal dish which was very tasty. We had a nice bottle of prosecco as well.

My friends and family celebrated my birthday at Lucia's. The service for 16 people was unbelievable. The food was outstanding. Everyone ordered off the menu and each person raved about the meal. I pre ordered three different appetizers which were delivered after everyone placed their order. We had Arancini, which was a real favorite. Especially for those that had never... More

Love this North End restuarant, the food is excellent, the prices are very resonable, the service is great. Such a lovely atmosphere. If you have an opportunity, make reservations and ask for Arancini (Italian Rice Balls) didn't sound good to me but they were wonderful. They are not always on the menu but if you ask ahead of time they... More

Wonderful food and staff made my Mom's birthday very special. The food was incredible for everyone, and I can't say enough about my lobster ravioli. They even accommodated my daughter with some delicious gluten free pesto pasta. If you are in the North End, Lucia's is the place to go!

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
