Great food and accommodating service

Came here after a long drive and commute from the Cape at rush hour. After checking into our hotel we went looking for a nice Italian place that didn't seem too fussy as we had our tired and hungry 4yo kid with us. Most places seemed like nice date night places. We were looking at the menu outside... read more

With the many options for Italian in the north end, Lucia's beat expectations! We were looking for some place to accommodate our large party. She didn't have any room in the main dinning room so she sat us downstairs in a downstairs room. It was just our group with a fabulous waitress. She had great suggestions on all of our... More

Had dinner at Lucia's in the North End. They sat us at a small table downstairs. Service was inattentive. Food was ok , not the best Italian I've had. I would try one of the many other Italian restaurants on Hanover St.

We ended managing to get a health meal at Lucia's by requesting grilled shrimp to accompany our salads. The shrimp were perfectly prepared, and the beet salad was quite good. Our server was also friendly and very good.. All that being said... the rest of the experience was pretty ordinary. The menu is stuck in the 70's - aren't we... More

We're visiting Boston for one week with friends and went to see the sights in downtown. Our stop for lunch was in North Boston at Lucia Ristorante. We ate lunch at around 1:30pm and it was not busy. We had a booth. Ambiance is simple. Waitress and busgirl were friendly and smiling. Two of us ordered water with lemon and... More

we came across this restaurant in walking distance from our hotel. It was a slice of ITALY. The table was next to a window across from the firehouse and it was great to be able to sit and enjoy a fantastic dinner, with candle light. Highly recommend over the Florentine Restaurant as they were not as accommodating in getting us... More

Arrived from Europe ..this was our first dinner in Boston, reception was nice, table setting good, server was OK..food was good. However what made this not so special was the speed to try and get us to finish, bill came without asking for it, even though we still wanted to have desserts..then after we finished we were asked to add... we just past by and stepped in because of the nice atmosphere of the restaurant! The service was good, friendly waiter , the food was very good: housemade Spaghetti, clams and spagetti. the apetizer´s price / value ratio was a little low although the quality was good. typical italian food in America!!!

Fantastic experience. Very friendly waiter (who was also very patient because he let me order in Italian) and without a doubt one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. My only (minor) complaint is that I wish the wine list was more extensive. A lot of choices from California as I recall, and I wish there were more wines... More

Lucia suited our large party of 10 on a Saturday night. The food was delicious all around. I think each of the Italian dinners had a different flare, too. I had a chicken dish that had fried artichokes on top that set this dish apart from any other. We sat downstairs and I loved the brick wall and old ceiling... More
