Wow. Who would have thought that this itty bitty little place on Dot Ave would provide one of the BEST meals I have enjoyed in Boston? The decor is authentic (and flipping adorable); I felt like I stepped into a little European restaurant. It's a small place so seating is open. We grabbed a table right by the window. We... More

This is a place to get a taste of Polish food at a very reasonable price. The decor is wood and the food is fresh, tasty and made like in the old country. As an appetizer they bring you slices of Polish rye bread with lard to spread on it. It sounds like "cardiac special" but with salt and pepper... More

We (my wife, my cousin and her boyfriend) visited Cafe Polonia in South Boston for dinner. This was our second time in two years, The first time was a bit better than this time. The restaurant is located on Dorchester Ave in South Boston. Curbside parking is all there is so plan on taking a taxi as we did. The... More

Came here for lunch with daughter and friend, both veterans of the place. Having traveled in Poland and spent time on a Polish research vessel years ago, I was familiar with the food (and beers). It was like a trip to Poland. We shared pierogis, Gołąbki, bigos, and a Gypsy pancake (two huge potato pancakes with goulash in the middle... More

Cafe Polonia is always worth the trek it takes to get there from where I live in Boston. I traveled for a while in Poland and had been looking high and low for good Polish food and finally I found Cafe Polonia. Their potato pancakes and goulash are delicious and are so much like the amazing meals I had while... More

Never had Authentic Polish food; outside recipes discovered by my family through cookbooks, so this was a welcoming experience. The food was absolutely fantastic, the waitress was polite and old fashioned. Nothing felt rushed, and I got to get in touch with my Polish heritage through the European design and decor inside. This is a place I'll make a stop... More

Tasty Polish comfort food served a little restaurant just down from the Andrews Square. Potato pancakes were delicious. Service was friendly but a little indifferent, esp. since the restaurant was not nearly full.

We were out for a walk when we first got to Boston and ran across this place, it was the kind of place that when you saw it, you wanted to go in. So we checked out menu and talk with waitress. There were 4 couples who went for dinner and we all enjoyed the service and food.

We ate here twice while staying in the Marriot Courtyard Boston South. It is close to the Andrew Metro stop on the Red line, but unless you are keen to try Polish food, or are a homesick Pole, it is probably not worth a journey out of town. The food was ample and seemed to be very authentic (we have only... 10 mins walk from JFK / U Mass station (red line) and near the Doubletree I decided to check out this place. I have never tried Polish food before but this seemed the perfect intro. The waitress (extremely friendly and from Poland) suggested the Polish plate and I added some Borscht. The food was what I expected; hearty fare, tasty... More
