Best Polish Food

Cafe Polonia is close to the T. It is a cozy place (only seating about 25 people). We went around lunch time on Patriots day, so there were only a few others in the restaurant. We got a table by the window. It was perfect and cozy. My finance and I both had the polish plates. The best cabbage... read more

We live near and this os our second visit here for dinner. We did a reservation and they give us a nice table by the window .. Nice! Food was great. Last time I had goulash and loved. We found out abut this place on line and decided to give it a shot. No doubt, best Polish food we tasted! Everything was superb- pyrohy, borsch, potato pancakes, cabbage rolls, kielbasa. Service was excellent! Place itself has a very authentic feel. Definitely coming back!

I am the daughter of Polish immigrants and am originally from Dorchester. Last week I dined here again after not doing so for a couple of years. I have been to Poland many times, but not recently, so I really needed my "fix". The food was great..........beet soup, polish plate, and apple crisp all served by an attentive and pleasant... More

We went to Cafe Polonia during this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade. At first, we were the only customers, but the restaurant's heavy wooden chairs and tables quickly filled. While drinking Polish beer (recommended to us by our attentive server) and eating a delicious appetizer of blood sausage, we felt transported across the Atlantic (perhaps to a place where Pilsners... Best Polish food in town with an authentic feel to the restaurant. The potato pancakes are incredible and so is the kielbasa. Get the cheese crepe for dessert! Highly recommend!

We were in Boston, and happen to ventured into this restaurant. The place was not flashy, but has a rustic Polish restaurant looks to it. The food was great. I had the beet soup and pork chop. It was great food and reminded my trip to Poland and Austria only 6 months ago. The restaurant does offer a small selection... More

This tiny restaurant was suggested by the Concierge at the nearby Hilton. The restaurant is in Dorchester with on-street parking only. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday evening. The service was prompt (almost abrupt) -- understandably so since there were fewer than 10 being served. I was dining by myself and tried to engage the waiter about suggestions... More

Don't miss: - sorrel soup, mushroom soup, bigos (rice and ground meat in blanched cabbage leaf), goulash, viennese pork chop, veal cutlets, pancakes with blueberries Miss: - tripe soup, pierogis, kielbasa Lipton tea bag for $3 is ridiculous!

I had wanted to try this place for a long time after finding it online and seeing the rave reviews. We usually visit the North End but were in the area and so we now had out chance to try some authentic Polish food. Finally visited and was somewhat underwhelmed. A dirty glass and salt shaker gave a so so... More
