A Treat

Went to Café Polonia for lunch last week. I came across it on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. The show does a real service to folks that can really cook. The Chef here sure can. The food was first rate comfort food but more. The food was very clean in presentation and flavor. The Polish plate was... read more

Great small Polish place with authentic Polish dishes. The food is great, executed to perfection. Good selection of different Polish beers, most of them I had not heard of. Excellent service from a husband and wife team. The atmosphere is very much Eastern European.

We have been here many times. My wife had the super delicious Polish plate with killer perogis, amazing dill pickle soup (seriously, try it). Hunter Stew was awesome. I enjoyed the fried meat perogis mixed with sauerkraut perogis and cheese perogis. Nicely sauteed in high caliber bacon and onions. And the spread for the bread is the rendered pork fat... More

Great service. Hot and hearty food. The Gypsy Pancake (made out of potato) probably could feed a family of six; it is huge! The best though is all the different meat dishes. Great chicken and boneless pork. Fresh and lightly breaded. Good coffee and a neat, no frills setting. I really recommend this place; the sour pickle soup is ok.

I was determined to get here when I had to travel to Boston for work. I was not disappointed. I came in for a late lunch, and ordered beef pierogi. They were delighful! For dessert I had the chocolate cake. The cake was okay, but I don't think I would get it again. The owner was wonderful and welcoming, which... More

Reading the reviews, I was ready for a truly outstanding experience and wanted to give the restaurant top ratings like so many other reviewers have. Honestly, it was good but not up to a truly exceptional experience. I dined alone and was seated at a table right in the middle of the restaurant, which is not the best spot for... More

If you want a truly authentic Polish meal then this is the place to go. Traditional Polish decor, Polish staff and great choice of food.

We are lovers of Polish food and Cafe Polonia just happened to be in the neighborhood. The space looks feels like any restaurant in Krakow and the food is of the same quality. The staff is very friendly. We decided to go twice on our trip.

This restaurant is so small that we drove past it twice, as their sign is not illuminated. But we were so glad we found it! Our waiter (owner?) was so welcoming and really wanted us to have a good meal. We had the goulash served between 2 large potato pancakes, which caused my husband to literally groan with pleasure after... More

I have Polish ancestry, but have never tried eating at a Polish restaurant before. I was visiting in town and a friend from Poland invited us to go with him here. We loved the atmosphere and food. He vouched that the food was very authentic and between him and the waitress, we were able to make great menu selections. It's... More
