DELICIOUS

We stopped there based on a popular TV show. One of the best decisions we made this trip. The cheese and potato pierogi as well as the potato pancakes were some of the best I have ever had. The stuffed cabbage was also excellent. Combine that with a nice beer list of Polish bottled beer that many... read more

I only discovered a taste for Polish food in the past few years. I live with someone of Polish descent who doesn't cook Polish food. However, after trips to Chicago, Detroit and Petoskey, MI (!) I learned how good Polish food can be. When we lived in Boston we would go to the Baltic Deli across the street from Polonia... More

Even though I had German and Russian food before but I never had Polish; hence, I can't say how authentic it is. But, the overall taste of the food and service were really good. My friend and I shared the beet soup. The flavor of the beet is really strong but in a good way if you liked beets. :)... More

First, super cute little place with gorgeous, heavy pine furniture and adorable furnishings which make you feel the "authentic" touch without going overboard. Even playing tasteful Polish pop music. The food was excellent. Everything was great. My husband had pickle soup and his comment was "where has this been all my life?" My daughter had potato pancakes which were perfectly... More

Polish food...normally we love Polish food, but we opted for the fried pierogies, and wish now that we would have had them boiled. Wonderful service, but everything seemed like it was food that was fried. The potato pancakes were delicious, and we liked the breaded mushrooms. Wish the cabbage rolls were available without the pork for us vegetarians. We ordered... More

We had discovered Café Polonia a couple of years ago when it was featured on an episode of Neighborhood Kitchens on Boston television, and ever since we saw them making the Sour Pickle Soup I knew I just had to go there and try it for myself. Well, the opportunity finally arrived and we showed up to freshly washed floors... More

My sister and I had lunch here in May 2015. THe gentleman in charge was very welcoming and told us we could adapt anything to our liking. We ordered the Polish plate but subbed out the pierogi for potato pancakes, then had a plate of cheese pierogi also. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious and would have made my Nana... This is a hole in the wall restaurant near Andrew Square in South Boston. The menu is entirely traditional Polish dishes, perogi, kielbasa, kapusta, stuffed cabbage and more. The portions are generous and the food is always delicious! The restaurant is very small, however, and I recommend getting a reservation. If you are not sure what to get, order the... More

Cafe Polonia is close to the T. It is a cozy place (only seating about 25 people). We went around lunch time on Patriots day, so there were only a few others in the restaurant. We got a table by the window. It was perfect and cozy. My finance and I both had the polish plates. The best cabbage roll... More
