Great takeout close to convention hotels

While attending a conference in the convention center, I heard good things about this nearby restaurant from another attendee. One night I popped in there and got a takeout greek salad and baba ganoush appetizer. It was ready quickly and both were very good. I would definitely go there again... read more

I had their special of the day, a schwarma sandwich with a Greek salad. Really fresh and filling. A bit messy, so get a spare napkin. Price was very reasonable. Definitely not a greasy spoon. Great staff and prompt service!

After a few days of restaurant and pub meals while staying at the Colonnade, I really wanted a change: one night just by buying food from Star Market up the road, another by going to Cafe Jaffa and finding Middle Eastern food beautifully cooked - the falafel rolls were tasty, even succulent, and left room for the unexpectedly large helping... This is one of my favorite places in Boston because everything always tastes fresh and it's very economical. the atmosphere is pleasant. The falafel is first rate, as is the baba ganoush. Nice domas for $1.59 each. Crisp, crunchy salad instead o0f wilting micro greens. Delicious mint lemonade. You can get more food than you can eat here for less... More

Ordered chicken and lamb shawarma with high expectations only to be left full of disappointment. The meat was of very poor quality. Specifically, both chicken and lamb looked and tasted like tofu. Very rubbery and fake. The service was really good which is a plus but please be aware of what you order.

Food was great, service was a little slow but absolutely worth the wait. We all had something different and everyone was happy with their selection.

I stumbled upon this place and I couldn't have been happier! The staff were warm and accommodating. I love middle eastern food and this place was absolutely delicious! The homemade hummus and tahini were the best I have ever had!!! Definitely a place I will come back and visit again and again!!!!

The only reason my review isn't a 5 is that the front of the restaurant gets very congested with people waiting to either pick up an order to take out, or place a takeout order. The food is authentic, tasty, and reasonably priced. Table service can be a bit slow, but the wait staff is unfailingly pleasant and eager to... More

Overall, good quality food. But the service is bit choppy...there are 2 waiters running around 20 odd tables. They need to hire more waiters. Falafel is the best in town.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
