Hidden down an ally but worth finding. This restaurant is beautifully decorated and had a pleasent atmosphere. It wasnt busy when we arrived, we didn't feel rushed choosing or finishing our meal and the service was ok. Food was delicious, the tortilla's more than the enchiladas, but portion size was small so still felt peckish afterwards. Not outstanding but still... More

Tucked away down a public alley off Gloucester Road this Back Bay restaurant is worth hunting out. We made the most of the $22 early bird three course meal (excellent for this part of Boston!) and every course was a delight. Couldn't have asked for more and a great way to end our stay in Boston.

I went with a group of friends on a recommendation. It had a cool atmosphere and is tucked away in an alley so it is a bit difficult to find if you're not looking for it. I thought the food was good. Nothing too special, but what got me was the small portion size for the price of the entrée.... More

I last visited Casa Romero in 1972. For sentimental reasons, my partner and I revisited it. The food was good, though not excellent, but the atmosphere was as we remembered, and it was fun to revisit our past.

Had dinner and was disappointed. Had their signature pork in an orange sauce. Portion was tiny with a small set of rice and beans and I left hungry and unsatisfied as the dish was way too sweet. The price was $ 25 for the entree which I thought was crazy high for a tiny portion of Mexican. The food cost... More

Casa Romero is a unique Boston restaurant in the Back Bay with patio seating. We had fond memories of it and have been meaning to go back for a long time. We were somewhat disappointed that it didn't live up to our memories. We remembered the patio as having more greenery and the food as being more consistent. There were... More

Guacamole was good, food was ok, sangria needs more wine. This is a one visit restaurant. I will not visit again.

Went there for dinner. Was my first time but will definitely not be my last. Great traditional Mexican food. Might not appeal to those used to Tex Mex. very good md friendly service.

The cuisine is real Mexican, unlike most "Mexican" restaurants stateside, the flavors and dishes at Casa Romero are what you might find in Mexico City, with sauces such as Huitlacoche, and other delicacies. I tried their special pork loin with a sweet/sour type sauce that was good, though not excellent. The place was packed, which probably explains the indifferent, almost... More
