Husband was very happy with his food, and I was happier with my margarita. The service was good, prices reasonable, excellent salsa.

We went with a group of 8 and had a blast. The margaritas were fun and the wine list reasonable and all the food was outstanding. This is not your average combo platter place - the food was complex and included a lot of seafood offerings. We did not order any starters and so we seemed to wait a bit... More

Heard about this place from friends. Down an alley near Newbury St. Actually fun to find. Even before you walk in you've got the feeling of authenticity with the heavy door. We went without reservations and they were full but got us in. Since it's summer we were able to get a table on the patio, a very private little... More

I had two appetizers and a great margarita, the house special. It was a satisfying dinner with a very tasty fish taco and chile relleno. My friends both enjoyed the carne asada which was more like a steak dinner. We sat outside in the lovely small courtyard. Service was perfect!

While it may be a little difficult to find, it is worth the effort. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better! It's the most authentic Mexican food I've had in Boston, and it is wonderful.

This place is in the basement of a larger building, and it is very, very dark. In fact I wondered about what would happen in the event of a fire. While the food was fairly good, the waitstaff was none too pleasant or helpful. Moreover, it was very, very hot in the restaurant. Finally, the smell of cigarette smoke was... More

I've eaten here three times now and each time it's been consistently good. Last night we started with the cheese which was delicious. Then I had the enchiladas poblano and my husband has the fajitas. Mine was outstanding. The mole sauce was what really made it. My husband's meal wasn't quite as good. He liked the sauce but it wasn't... More

When we come to Boston we always go to Casa Romero. The decor brings back happy memories of Mexico and Central America. But most of all is the food! Their signature dish Puerco Adobado en Chipotle y Naranja is one of our all time favourites. Their Margaritas are the very best. The staff are always friendly and attentive. I recommend... More

For those who wish to explore beyond the predictable boundaries of Tex-Mex, Casa Romero is the perfect portal to Mexican fine dining. The dishes are more reflective of what you might find in Mexico City's Zona Rosa and are a delight to the palate. Located part way down a Boston alleyway, and down a short flight of stairs, the restaurant... More
