Good food and service

Friendly welcome, we had booked a table as a relation had bought us a $50 phantom gourmet voucher to use, this was accepted with no problem. Fajitas were very good

We dined here with another couple on Cinco de Mayo. Our reservation was for 6 PM and we were informed that we would have to leave by 7:30 PM. Normally that is not something I would want to be told, but considering this is probably their busiest day of the year, it was understandable. Considering how busy it was, our... More

My friend and I chose this as a second choice when the first restaurant we tried had an hours wait, boy were we happy we didn't get a table at that first restaurant!! First of all, great service. we had perfect margaritas, which were perfect! the chips are homemade and delish, the salsa just enough spice and the guac, also... More

Told it was the best Mexican food in Boston. If so, I'm sorry for those in Boston unless you are ok with below average flavor. Plus well below average service. Had to ask for water for our table 4 times. Had to ask for a glass of tea for one of our party 3 times. Ordered guacamole that was never... More

Brought guests here who don't get too much exposure to Mexican cuisine. This restaurant did not disappoint! The fish taco was a little soggy so definitely not something one could eat while standing which is what it was designed for. The entrees were delicious. The corn chips were not at all salty which was what we experienced on our last... More

Tasty and unusual Mexican fare but small portions (no left overs here). The early bird special is the way to go ($22 for 3 courses). Otherwise it's pricey for Mexican, but not for the area. The back alley entrance made it feel like you were in on some secret. However, I never got past the smell of cat urine (?)... More

The location of Casa Romero is classically Back Bay. The restaurant is tucked in a little alley that's easiest to find if you just let your smartphone navigate you. The restaurant is small and charming with waiters who are experienced and very helpful. The dishes are creative and include a full range of meat, seafood, and vegetarian options. The portions... The restaurant is a little hidden, but its well worth the hunt. It's a cozy welcoming traditional place. The food is wonderful with plenty of interesting options. The margaritas are fantastic and potent. The service is excellent. I was with a group of 10 and we had a blast. I love Mexican fare and this place in particular ranks very... More

Meh. I''ve been coming here for years and have always been pleased with their offerings. Sadly, they seem to be trying to save money by compromising portions. Bad decision. I hate leaving a restaurant hungry. firstly, with my entree the menu specified a choice of black beans or refried beans. I ordered black but was told by the waiter that... More

Boston is not a city where you would expect to find great Mexican food. Scratch that idea when you go to Casa Romero. It's a small restaurant down an alley off of Gloucester Street in the Back Bay but well worth the trek. The Mexican food here is orignal, well prepared and an upscale version of the Mexican fare you'd... More
