Casa Romero is a unique Boston restaurant in the Back Bay with patio seating. We had fond memories of it and have been meaning to go back for a long time. We were somewhat disappointed that it didn't live up to our memories. We remembered the patio as having more greenery and the food as being more consistent. There were... More

Guacamole was good, food was ok, sangria needs more wine. This is a one visit restaurant. I will not visit again.

Went there for dinner. Was my first time but will definitely not be my last. Great traditional Mexican food. Might not appeal to those used to Tex Mex. very good md friendly service.

The cuisine is real Mexican, unlike most "Mexican" restaurants stateside, the flavors and dishes at Casa Romero are what you might find in Mexico City, with sauces such as Huitlacoche, and other delicacies. I tried their special pork loin with a sweet/sour type sauce that was good, though not excellent. The place was packed, which probably explains the indifferent, almost... More

Coming from Texas I love good Mexican food. This was pretty good but not at all the best I've had. We went on a busy Saturday night and the service was okay. Overall okay experience.

My Dinner group of 9 went to Casa Romero on a May Friday night. RATINGS Food: 3.5 Decor: 3 Service: 2 Overall: 3 SUMMARY REVIEW While one called the food "uber-tasty", most felt the food was "neither stellar, nor horrible" and "inconsistent", but they had "delicious" cocktails, and we liked the "cheesy, hyper-Mexicana interior, " but it was "painfully noisy."... We had the chance to visit Casa Romero earlier this week. The spot is located on an alley and has a great sense of arrival. The atmosphere is charming and festive. The menu is creative however that's where the goodness stops. I ordered a favorite standby - Carne Asada and I was quite surprised to receive a New York Strip... More

The place is small, but usually packed, which would make it sound like the food is great, and it was, although not as good as i would expect for the price. Guacamole did not seem home made and the portion size was tiny. Chips and salsa were also extra and small portioned. For the price of the entrees, one would... More

Authentic Mexican food truly hidden in a super convenient location. Just steps from the Prudential Center. Fresh salsa and chips were refilled frequently by numerous and attentive, knowledgeable friendly wait staff. The delicious cerviche appetizer was a surprisingly large portion and well seasoned. The tilapia entree was also good size with plenty if sauce. If you are craving Mexican food... More

I've always liked Casa Romero however my last visit was very disappointing. The food was good and the service was okay, until we got our entrees. We'd been at the table, maybe half an hour, when two bus staff began to hover. While I was still eating one reached across the table and removed my side dish. I hadn't finished... More
