Great food for take-out

Flour is a go-to in urban Boston if you absolutely must have a good salad or sandwich (BLT or lamb are favorites), or, of course, some dessert. Their cookies, bread pudding, banana cream pie, and (only on weekends) doughnuts, are especially yummy. I love the food, but am not a huge fan of the place... read more

I first heard about flour when I was watching unique sweets one day and that's when I saw their famous sticky buns and I knew I just had to try one so I did and it was so delicious ! I loved how fluffy the texture of the sticky bun it was like cotton candy the way it melted on... More

Flour is a local favorite with several locations around town. If you are near one, it is really worth a stop in for beautiful pastries, breads, and delicious sandwiches. All ingredients are fresh and high quality. The South End location as a few outdoor tables from which to people-watch. I am a local and have enjoyed Flour many times.

Had lunch here and it was so fresh and tasty! Lots of different baked goods on the menu here. All the bread is so fresh and so are the ingredients. The sticky buns are amazing! Very casual place.

I went straight here after a red eye into Boston, so it must say something if I was able to enjoy anything in that state. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was very good (lots of spicy mustard though, so watch out if you aren't a fan). The pastries and bread also looked amazing but alas I filled myself up.

It was so difficult to choose from al the amazing offerings. Being on a weight loss program, I needed to be careful and even though I only had a salad - it was phenomenal -- chicken and guacamole -- yum! The deserts looked amazing but that will be for another time!

I tried a tomato soup and beef steak pizza combination because the pizza sounded good. The pizza was a flatbread type of pizza and was the best I've ever had (and I eat out a lot)! The tomato soup, which has never ever been a soup I'd choose to eat anywhere (even home) was so delicious it made me rethink... More

Visited for lunch. We were taking the train out of Boston and saw this shop while hanging about Back Bay. We'd been looking for an alternative to station food. Flour was an awesome choice. There was a bit of a crowd queued but it moved pretty fast--and there was counter seating available inside, so I guess most were taking away.... More

The pastries and coffees are good. Most pastries and pies are $5.75 per serving. It is a cafeteria service type of a place. That is pretty high. Quality is A-. Not French pastry shop good but ok quite good. Closes at 6pm.
