We have been to Boston many times but never discovered Sonsie. What a pity! We went for lunch - great experience although the place was really busy the service was excellent, the goat's cheese pizza thin and crispy and delicious and the Steamed mussels with curry, lemon, champagne, garlic toast were so good. In fact we went back the next... More

We each ordered two items. Service was outstanding--each person's dish was placed on the table simultaneously by using extra servers. Each dish was well prepared using fresh ingredients and beautiful to look at. The pizzas are excellent, and probably the best value here.

Came here with friends and wasn't impressed. Small bar area, high priced weak drinks and so-so service. Can get much better service and drinks for your money at many others on the street. Will not be back and do not recommend wasting your time or money at this place.

Wonderful place for a weekend breakfast. And the mushroom pizza is excellent too. It has the atmosphere of a hotel old fashion dinning room, but the crowd was young. Great coffee and sweets.

The dim wooden decor and European styling make sonsie an attractive place for a quiet brunch or trendy dinner. The bistro style seating up front has an initial cool factor that most ppl associate with the restaurants of Paris. The food was a big bland, however, and I found the service to be less friendly than I'd hope for. Overall... More

First off, such a cozy venue on Newbury street. Loved the fall specific menu with a plethora of all things apple, squash, and cranberry. Shout out to the butternut squash soup with marshmallows. Food was great and portion size decent, a tad pricey. Also worth to note that the bread they serve when you first sit down is AMAZING. It's... More

I don't know whether this was an off day for the restaurant, but the service was S L O W. Simple things like glasses of water and menus took ages to arrive. I ordered some tea; on being quizzed of its whereabouts twenty minutes later our waitress apologised, "sorry, our barista is taking a break." Since when did pouring hot... More

do not understand the rather good evaluations of this place. Visited with colleagues and we're served a rather neutrally tasting butternut squash soup with marshmallows and Apple cider missing some vital seasoning resulting in a rather neutral taste.. Some pepperocini would have made all the difference.. As entree some pieces of roasted chicken that were absolutely not roasted on the... More

Visited the place on a recommendation of a friend and we really don't regret. The soup with marshmellows was really great and so was the white apple pizza. We were really surprised by the orginal combinations of flavours. Also very friendly staff. Would certainly recommend.

We went for dinner last night with friends. It's a nice setting in a great location with a nice bar. We were early so we sat at a high top and waited for our friends. It was really right spacing! We actually had to move the table out so one of us could get in (and we're not big people!).... More
