Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. We know shopping induces hunger. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston’s historic South End. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

I will start by saying that we have enjoyed many meals at the Copley Place Legal seafoods over the years. The food has always been good- we have children with allergies and they are always accomading, so of course , when we were in Boston and staying at the Copley marriott last week we planned to eat here again. I went to Legal Sea Foods twice in the same week with colleagues from work. Overall, it was an average experience both times. Good service and good food but not great.

Our waiter was efficient and knowledgeable about wines. Iceberg wedge was delicious and chowder was spot on friends. Rainbow trout was cooked perfect with some amazing asparagus. Very enjoyable Loved the french fries too!

Legal Seafood was sort of a let down for myself. I am personally allergic to shellfish but the rest of my party wanted Lobster so we went to Legal after the Atlantic Fish CO was booked all night. In my experience, an EXCELLENT restaurant with such an extensive menu will know how to prepare ALL types of food with expertise.... More

I am not a big seafood lover and the menu in the bar didn't give me many choises, but I cannot complain about that since I know I was in a seafood restaurant. The bang bang curlyflower is very good. I had the crab cakes and they are fine.

Ordered take out and they were quick to have our order ready. Ordered the crab cake (amazing!), lobster bisque was delicious, cocktail shrimp were huge and a good appetizer portion, and the seafood casserole. Only con is that since it was takeout, the takeout boxes could have been better to keep in the heat, but they kept the cocktail shrimp... More

Had our seafood here, booked thru the net. Ordered a lobster bake each for me & my wife, fish and chicken for the kids, chowder and lobster bisque, crab cakes. The Bread was hot and fantastic, the waitress after seeing the speed we are eating it offered a second serving. The lobster bisque and chowder was good and crab cake... More

We went to this restaurant for dinner. Everything we ordered was really excellent and we haven't had such good fish since a while! Even too good service (compliments!!) and really fast service. All dishes came out at the same time less than 5 to 10 minutes later. They even excused because one dish came one minute later than the other... More

When you are in New England, you need to have sea food or you are making a mistake. Legal Seafood always has great quality of Seafood. We had the Trout which was quite good, the Almond encrusted Salmon and Fried Clams. All were quite good. Service was OK. We were put at a table almost next to the kitchen even... More
