Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. We know shopping induces hunger. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston’s historic South End. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

We had to have a lobster while visiting Boston and a friend suggested Legal Seafood as it was close and the weather was terrible, so we went to Legal Seafood in Copley Place. Upon arriving right on time for our reservation, we were told it would be a twenty minute wait even though there were multiple tables available. When my... More

After a hard day of sightseeing, a steamed lobster at Legal Seafood was a great way to end the day! THe Legal at Copley Place is not easy to find, especially given a need for elevators as opposed to escalators. The restaurant was huge, and in a city shopping mall. Wait staff were attentive, but not particularly friendly. Food was... More

I stopped here while on a business trip and together the four of us had the Seafood Trio (with clams, scallops, shrimp), Lobster Roll, Clams, and of course, Clam Chowder. The service was excellent and always prompt and the food was incredible. Super fresh too.

Didn't expect to find such a restaurant in an upmarket mall with good fresh seafood. Delicious clam chowder! I had the seafood crumble - tasty, with chunks of prawn and fish, and could still taste the alcohol. My friend had the lobster which she said was delicious. Finished with a Boston cream pie - chocolaty and sinful! Service was fine... More

Food was great despite a few reviews that it might be just a touristy restaurant. Service was good. Nice bar and very convenient

My wife craved lobster the entire time we were in the Northeast. She succeeded almost daily including at Legal Sea Foods. They offer an elegant atmosphere without ridiculous prices. The menu options are numerous including lots of choices for sides to go with the entrees. There's even nice choices for the non-fishy folks. The history of the company is a... More

Great restaurant! I highly recommend the stuffed lobster, it was divine, as was the pumpkin cheesecake. The wait staff was very friendly. I wish we had Legal Sea Foods in Ohio!

Legals is known for their seafood and we were not disappointed. The lobster bisque soup was one of the best I've had. I also enjoyed the mediterranean salad with grilled salmon on top. The fish was a good portion and perfectly cooked. Friends enjoyed their lobster roll immensely, too. It's not cheap, but you pay for the freshness and excellent... More

Legal Sea Foods has consistently great food and service. One new appetizer to try is the new Orleans style Calamari, good for sharing. I have had the grilled Mahi Mahi several times, and especially if you are watching calories this is a good choice without sacrificing flavor. Wine by the glass is a particularly good value here as although the... More
