The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. We know shopping induces hunger. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston’s historic South End. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Dining with our college Freshman

Very friendly staff, convenient location to our hotel, convenient to the subway to school. Food was fresh, hot, delicious and satisfying. Have been twice, and will be back.

First time at Legal Seafood and it was very good. I had the basic fish and chips (my litmus paper test for a seafood restaurant) and it was delicious. My companion ordered a stuffed shrimp dish which turned out to not have been cooked all the way through. The waitress promptly retrieved it, brought one that was properly cooked (with... More

Ordered the lobster and filet and a nice local beer for about $50.00 and worth every penny. Great service with great food; it's a no-brainer!

Once upon a time, Legal was a destination restaurant when visiting Boston. But now, is it just me, or has the once outstanding fare and service at Legal become nothing more than a barely above average seafood fast food franchise, devoid of all the delightful food and charm it once had? It doesn't bode well when all I can remember... More

Even a co-worker who doesn't like seafood was persuaded to eat the clam chowder. That's a testament to how fresh everything is and how clearly everyone was enjoying themselves. I had steamed clams, steamed mussels--delicious, but the broth seemed to be a vodka broth which I wasn't into. 3rd companion had crab and what seemed to be a Lobster salad.... More

Well, that was fabulous! Traveling alone, sat at the bar. Ordered a lobster roll with onion strings and spinach. I totally confess, I ate every bite, and it was excellent!

I went to the restaurant for a quick meal and I was amazed of the quality of their food. The chowder is incredible! And the crab cake is also great!

My family and I dined here on a Saturday night. Noticed the time we wanted on Open Table was no longer available, so i decided to call the restaurant directly to see what they could do. They were able to accommodate the time we were looking for, and once we arrived we were seated immediately, so that was pretty awesome!... More

My wife and I dined here twice during our stay at the nearby Marriott Copley Square. This restaurant is on the less hectic second level of the indoor mall at Copley Place. The entrance is very impressive, with a cool, modern/industrial look. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. Our first dinner there was around 5:30pm on Monday, 23 Mar, since... More

We had 7 in our party after some of us finished the Boston marathon. We were seated promptly at our reserved time. Appetizers were great and entrees most excellent Favorite was the Cioppino, but all our dishes were very good. Steaks were good too and good wine list that was not overpriced. The best part of our experience was our... More
