Went with a large group to this outpost of Legal Seafoods and almost the entire party was disapointed. From crabcakes that were overwhelmed by the binding agent (some sort of mayo horseradish-couldn't taste the lump crabmeat) to a confusion over the difference between medium and medium rare, this restaurant failed on most counts. The food was not inedible, but with... more

Friends had raved about Legal Seafood for years, so on a recent trip to Boston I had to stop by and try it out. I'm not usually one for chain restaurants but I thought that all these people can't be wrong. The clam chowder, shich was supposed to be incredilbe might as well have come from a can. There was... more

Along with my wife and four kids (7, 9, 15 and 17) we ate here two out for three nights in Boston - our return visit being an excellent recommendation in itself as I usually like to try different restaurants. Having checked for quality child-friendly restaurants on Trip Advisor I had intended to try Atlantic Seafoods but the hotel Concierge... more

First of all, I am not a seafood fan. But I went to Legal Seafoods when I was in Boston at Copley and it was great. I had a glass of wine, clam chowder and garlic shrimp/pasta for about $35. mind you, it was great. I would highly recommend the garlic shrimp and they have an extensive drink menu. It's... more

We made a reservation, as we were told Legal Sea Foods was the "BEST" place for seafood in Boston. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our reservation, and had hoped to get a drink at the bar...but were seated immediately (which was surprising). However, it was LOUD and PACKED - not my idea of a relaxing dinner in Boston... more

Great service, great food. We went for lunch and it was about $41 including one glass of wine. I had the crab cake sandwich; my son had the special, which was calamari and shrimp in a taco-type shell. Both were wonderful. No line-up, nice atmosphere and people-watching. We went after our Duck Tour; very convenient. more

This franchise is all over the place now - I've been to Legal Seafood restaurants in Paramus NJ, Nyack NY and Baltimore MD, to name a few. But there's something about seafood in Boston. Legal is always a great choice, no matter where it is. more

My first attempt to eat at Legal failed due to poor planning and relying upon Garmin. I found the location searching for seafood restaurants using the car rental GPS but it failed to tell me that it was actually located inside the Prudential Building. I should have looked up the website before leaving the hotel. I caught another location later... more

Legal sea foods is always fun... and always expensive! Don't bother with anything non-seafood: their steaks are not good at all and never cooked as ordered. Their stuffed lobster, however, is AMAZING. This location is located within a high-end mall and isn't just a stand-alone restaurant. If you're looking for something a little more intimate, this isn't the location. more

Legal seafood seems to have become a victim of its own success. Location is pretty much the killer here. As one of the few real resturants in the prudential-copley complex, it must serve all comers at a pace that can't be good for the food quality. I reccomend trying the downtown locations by the aquarium (is that Irony, seeing ...... more
