Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. We know shopping induces hunger. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston’s historic South End. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

I had the sampler plate of scallops, shrimp, and crabcake. It was so good. I really wanted to eat there again but time didn't allow for it. You must experience it!

Not a lot of atmosphere given it's location in large shopping mall but the food was very good and excellent by comparison with Union Oyster House where we went the following night. Good and fast service. Adequate wine list - try the vinho verde with the fish for a lighter pleasant change. Better half's chowder was very good as was... More

This is a busy, popular restaurant and, as the name implies, specialises in all types of fish and shellfish. The menu description of some of the dishes is a bit pretentious and looked like the chef was showing off his vocabulary. The food itself was excellent in quality, taste and presentation. Some of the waiting staff were rather pushy and... More

Went with a large tour group, which I know is difficult- but they seemed to go out of their way to be rude. Service very slow - almost 3 hours. Only offered 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, 2 desserts, our center table was served last and servers would walk by our table with extra meals but didn't serve us, instead took... More

The staff was friendly and attentive. The fish tacos, chowder and crab cake were delicious. Also the Boston Cream Pie!

I've been to Legal Seafoods numerous times since its first location opened when I was a kid growing up in the Boston area. It's grown a lot since then, but despite the growth it's always been a satisfying experience when I've had occasion to return. On this visit to the Copley Place location, however, I had the best experience yet.... More

We were in the Mall and stopped in for a quick snack and were lucky to be seated quickly. With just a glass of wine and their amazing all crab no filler crab cakes, we were back to shopping and enjoying a gorgeous day in Boston.

We love eating at this Legal Sea Foods. It's so hard to find that it's rarely crowded, but the service is excellent and the food is always fresh and tasty. We make sure to stop here whenever we are in town.

A little disappointed in this restaurant. We did expect it to be touristy but we must have picked a bad day. We where told we had to wait an hour so we went shopping in the mall. They called us early so we had to rush back. Mostly seafood on the menu but there are some non-seafood items. The whole... More
