We know shopping induces hunger - and Legal Sea Foods reels in those who want to splash down for a meal or grab-and-go. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston's historic South End. Here the views and the seafood are second to none.

great food and solid value

sat at the bar on a business trip and ordered a few of the small plates including the chowder (great) and a salmon with brioche (phenomenal) that could have fed 2 people easily

We had dinner at Legal Sea Food with several colleagues. Overall the food was good. Tried the seasonal special of coconut fried shrimps as well as shrimp cocktail and various oysters for starters. Entree was the Fishermens Plate, an assortment of fried Fish, Calamary, Scallops and Fish. The Quality of the sea food was good and the food was tasty.... More

This was my third visit to this particular Legal Sea Food in Boston, I have visited several others both downtown and Westwood. The food was, as always, excellent. The calamari is becoming a favorite of mine and did not disappoint. For dessert I had their bananas foster with the "brandy flight" which capped a perfect evening . The wait staff... More

This is not what Legal Seafood used to be. It is a big chain with restaurants in many cities, mostly malls. The food we had, shrimps, seared tuna and halibut were rather ordinary, not super fresh and not well prepared. The service was uncaring and unremarkable. Good wine list.

Great service, nice view by window. Cocoanut shrimp app was tasty. Lobster roll nice large pieces, lightly-dressed which was perfect. Would return.

Ended up at Legal Seafoods for a later dinner as all the other restaurants on Huntington gave us a hard time about our stroller, and some had no highchairs. We finally went to Legal, and I'm so glad that's where we ended up. They staff was accommodating and kind, made my daughter feel very special, and the food was delicious.

While spending a long weekend in Boston with my husband, I wanted to take him to Legal Sea Foods for dinner as I have dined there many times before and had fond memories of delicious seafood dinners. We chose the Copley location as it was adjacent to our hotel. Upon being seated we were given a nice table by the... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Legal Sea Foods. We split a bowl of lobster bisque and the sea food sampler (salmon, swordfish, tuna, scallops, shrimp, mashed potatoes, and seaweed salad) and were both very full at the end. Excellent service from a very knowledgeable waitress. Although it appeared busy, there was no wait in getting a... More

Arrived to Boston over Christmas break and stayed with some friends and decided to eat here in the city. This place(chain in Boston) is an institution. They have been serving seafood for many years. The story is that they fist started as a fish market and then became a restaurant. Yes they have become really big and not cheap, but... More

it had been a while since I had been to Boston so I had to have dinner here. Chowder and a stuffed shrimp to die for. (also had a bloody mary that was darn good).

Staying in Back Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
