I was playing tour guide for friends and family who came to Mass early for my wedding. I thought it would be impossible to find a place in the North End that would a) take reservations, b) have seating for a large group 3) be fairly reasonable for the neighborhood prices and d) be good Italian food. I found on... More

Food was excellent and it's a great value compared to other places we dined in the north end. Ossobucco was fantastic and linguine with red dauce was awesome. Stick to the red sauces our waitress told us and she was right!

Every time I go to the North End over the last 25 years, I go to Saraceno's. I have even taken large groups of friends from Europe who raved about the restaurant. In the past, the food was excellent, especially the pizzola sauce. I have always been impressed with the mild garlic/ rich tomato sauce combination. This time the box... More

We stumbled in here quite randomly with a group of seven after looking for a Hanover St. restaurant that could seat us all on a warm weekend evening. We had a nice table near the open window at the front of the restaurant. The service was prompt and informative. The appetizer portions were normal and the entrees were large. Everybody... More

We were attracted by the handwritten specials outside, which included fish and other healthy choices. The house Pino Grigio was surprisingly good. The lemonball martini was just right. The bread was warm, crisp and dense. Th house salad was satisfactory. The home made pasta: linguine with butter and oil, and rigatoni bolognese, was good. Cheese could have been better.Eggplant Parm- not... More

Food this bad/portions this small don't belong in the North End! Slow, lousy service. The eggplant parm was mediocre and didn't even come with pasta. We ordered spaghetti w/ marinara and the portion was ridiculously small.

Very good food. My husband had the lasagna which was delicious and a very large portion. I had the mushroom risotto which was excellent. The server was very friendly and fast. The prices seemed very reasonable. I would eat here again.

My wife and I chose Saraceno because it looked cozy and full. There was no room in the main dining area so we walked up steps from the street to a dining room in the adjacent building. It was large, but only had one table occupied. The atmosphere was very nice, and the sound level was low and comfortable for... More

WOW. This restaurant has the beset seafood risotto I have ever had in my entire life. it was also reasonable for Boston. It is in the heart of the north end which is really close to central Boston. On Hanover street it is very hard to decide where to eat for good local Italian. You really can't go wrong with... More
