Went there on the advice of a local from the North End. Food was great, but prices are higher than other places off the tourist path.

Most restaurants in the North End had 4 star ratings on Yelp, so decided to just walk Hanover Street and choose one! We chose Cafe Pompeii and were absolutely pleased with our choice. I had the scampi and my friend had the lobster ravioli with a house salad. The dressing on the salad was very tasty, not the usual Italian... More

Best meal we had in Boston! Service good-- prices excellent < food for party of 4 under $ 60 > wine slightly pricey -but the food--was soooooo good-- They even customized my order to give me a dish not on the menu-- We ate in the main dining room to the left when you walk in-- good-good food !

My friends and I here always come here for pizza and panzerotti after a night out. Delicious!!!! You can either dine in or take away. They are open until at least 3/4am! Great local place!

The good part is the location. Right on the street, with lots of people walking by. Half the restaurant opens up to the street and you feel like eating outside in Roma. The creamy tomato soup was wonderful. On the other hand, the Pizza Margherita was terrible, especially for being a signature dish. It was soggy, almost no toppings and... More

Service was rude and the food was disgusting. I almost threw up after eating here. The prices were cheap, but they should be considering the food is crap. I'd rather eat McDonalds than this place.

The service was poor, orders messed up, slow, and one of our party watched a waiter eat his meal and bring him something completely wrong 10 minutes later, after most were done. The server could not be flagged down, and he acted put out when we said that we did not order lasagna, but pesto. The potential is their....

We ended up here because my daughter couldn't decide where she wanted to eat and we were in front of it when I'd had enough walking; besides, she wanted to try the Aranchini. They asked if we wanted dinner or snacks. ??? I went with it and said dinner. We were brought downstairs. The decor was like a scene from... More

This restaurant is better than the reviews seem to indicate. The shrimp and scallops fra diavolo over fettuccini was excellent. The spice level was just right and very consistent over all ingredients. The scallops and shrimp were both a nice size. The crostacio della casa with shrimp and clams with onions and mushrooms in a scampi sauce was also excellent.... More
