It was a cold night as we checked out the restaurants in the North end. We finally decided on the Café Pompei because it looked inviting and the menu wasn't outrageous pricing. I'm so glad we did. I ordered my standard chicken parm which is how I judge a restaurant for the first time. My friend ordered a Primavera made... More

I stopped by after a rude experience at a bar in Boston (See my review of Green Dragon from the same night). We saw a line out the door and as a New Yorker I was curious as to how the pizza would be. There was absolutely no reason for there to be a line out the door. There were... More

I have been to Pompei a hundred times, I always go there after a night of drinking for pizza and I've always had a fine experience. Last night was an absolute disaster. I'm disgusted and i will never go back. Nor will my friends. There was a BOUNCER outside of the restaurant. Its a hole in the wall italian place,... More

My friends and I popped in for dessert and coffee here after going to the Improv Asylum on a Saturday night. We grabbed a table at the front window to chat and people watch and had tiramisu (not sure if I spelled it right) and I had a cafe moca - yummy! Our waiter was nice and brought the check... More

Like the cheap cappuccino, the nice waitress who took us a picture, and the enjoyable atmosphere in the restaurant.

Food was delicious and we had a nice dining experience until the ticket came. It was pretty pricey. However, the problem was not that but the attitude of our waiter. The ticket was old school - handwritten - not computerized and when we asked him to split the ticket for 7 people into three tickets so we could pay that... More

Went over Columbus Day weekend. It seemed most Italian restaurants in the North End had lines out the door with people waiting for a table. There were plenty of tables available here. Walked and stood at check in counter for a few seconds and another couple walked in behind us. The hostess came and dealt with the people behind us... More

We called in here today 3rd October for a cheap lunch - we weren't disappointed!! Compared with much of Little Italy prices, this is a little gem. We had soup and a pizza. Great fresh food and great value. The staff were attentive and friendly. There is a restaurant to the left - with crisp, white table cloths, however, we lunched at the... More

My husband and I stepped into this restaurant after a Yankees/Redsox game with me in Yankees clothing. The waiter was not only friendly, but interesting and hysterical! He kept us totally entertained along with another couple who struck up a conversation with us. We received a generous bowl of the most delicious Italian bread I have ever eaten in my... More

Went there on the advice of a local from the North End. Food was great, but prices are higher than other places off the tourist path.
