A great bar seat, some great food and super service....a terrific evening

One of the many choices in the North End..and on our short list of "bests". We were lucky to grab two seats at the bar with a view of the goings-on outside, on a lovely evening. Great bartender...who was right there whenever we needed her. Super small plates at the bar...great FRITTURA MISTA... read more

After looking at the menu for 20 different Italian restaurants the pappardelle with wild boar and porcini mushrooms was different and sparked our interest. The food did not disappoint. Our waiter was wonderful and recommended a full bodied dry red wine which was superb. Our entrées (I of course got the aforementioned pappardelle) were superb. I would recommend the pumpkin... More

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant - which is NORTHERN, not southern Italian (that means pork, seafood, beef and steak - some pasta but no red sauces). It is also a bit modern-blended cuisine. We had a good experience. The restaurant was quite crowded (and noisy) and despite having a reservation, it took us probably 10-15 minutes to be seated.... Excellent food! Fig appetizer with prosciutto was great. Caesar salad was fresh and not over dressed. Best of all was the pumpkin tortellini, brown butter and amaretto, and honey with sage. So good! Tiramisu was also stellar. I would come back. We ate upstairs overlooking Hanover street.

I was here with a large group of people for work. The menu here is really good with a number of choices for pasta, seafood, and beef. I really enjoyed the branzino which was served as a butterflied whole fish--head and all. I really enjoyed it as it was cooked perfectly. Most people really like their meals and salads. Overall... The owner, a local, sent me to this bakery saying it was the best one in the Italian neighborhood, and he was correct.

Every item that we had (which was many, many, far to many for a group of 3) was incredible. Each pasta dish was unique, al dente to perfection and full of flavor. Following pastas, the filet and bone marrow plate was to die for. Probably the best steak I've ever had. Their servers are on top of it and their... More

This experience confirms that restaurants in the North End are basically a tourist trap. Granted I am hard to please when I have Italian food in the US as I live close to the Italian boarder and I have access to the real thing, but seriously folks focus on quality of food and not only the interior. The interior was... More

We managed to get a table at the bar near the open window. The place was full at 7pm! Started with cocktails, scallops were amazing and so many, I had a salad with a lovely dressing, steak cooked perfectly for himself and I had the shrimp dish which was worth flying 3,000 for again. This is an excellent special occasion... More

I was very disappointed with our recent experience at Bricco North End Boston. We felt rushed and could sense that their #1 objective was turning tables - put as many customers through on a Saturday night. Customers all around us were in and out in less than an hour. Our main courses Papardelle in a wild boar ragu, and slow... More
