We visit Boston at least once a year and always have at least one meal in the North End.So we have tried many of the fine Italian restaurants there.Bricco is exceptional. After reading other reviews we made reservations well in advance for a table right next to the floor to ceiling windows that are open in summer.Great people watching and there... A more unique Italian restaurant than most others in the North End. Not your typical fare, which we found most appealing. We went here on a very busy night but our food and our service were impeccable. Thank you Bonnie, for your terrific recommendations.

Every time we go in to Boston we head to the North end and stop in Bricco's Bakery. It's a hidden gem off of Hanover Street but once you find it - it's like finding gold. The breads they make are so delicious - ciabatta, Italian and French sticks as well as rolls, etc.

IF you are looking for Italian food come to Bricco and order plenty of appetizers to share and then order a fresh made pasta dish. The kitchen does some amazing work!

typical italian experience on the main st in boston's north end. restaurant was crowded, tables were jammed together (uncomfortably), service was rushed, place was noisy, food was sloppy, place was not cheap. having said all this, in some perverse way, it was a perversely enjoyable experience, though on i choose not to repeat.

My wife and I spent a week in Massachusetts. It was time well spent. Our final night was the best part of the trip. We ate at Bricco. From the moment we walked in the service was outstanding. We were early, they found us a table. Our server Emilio Bechara was one of the best I have ever encountered. Every... More

The North End may be hustling and bustling on any given night, but it's the authentic Italian food at Bricco's that has one singing their praises. From the stuffed ricotta pillows to the NY prime sirloin it's worth the wait!

Delicious food, ample serving size, and a great variety. The venue is a typical North End style establishment; small, crowded and loud. This does not bother me, but some patrons may prefer a quieter atmosphere. Food quality is always my priority and my dinner met all my expectations. It was delicious! They have a creative drink menu and a great... More

I came across this take out Italian bakery/cafe while walking the Freedom Trial around lunch time. I could not resist the tasty smell and got one of their sandwiches (lady panini). Very tasty, great baguette bread and fresh ingredients. Great recommendation, just not too many seats, so nothing for large groups.
