intimate yet boisterous Italian evening

Fresh food, cozy atmosphere, relaxed dress, makes you part of the family when you come in (you have to be because there is no place to sit or stand let alone have a drink...) We got a last minute weeknight reservation and it was wonderful. Our hostess/waitress/whatever needs to be done individual... read more

My favorite restaurant in Boston for a great dinner when visiting my daughter on Beacon Hill. We always feel welcomed by the super friendly staff. Food is excellent and authentic Italian. Wine list is excellent. Better to have a reservation, but walk in is possible. Thanks for bringing the North End to Beacon Hill.

This restaurant is one of my favorites...it's small and family run. Food is fabulous and the location is bustling. It's not quiet or romantic, but just an absolute fun place to eat - excellent wine selection.

We go every year on our anniversary. This is an unpretentious, authentic place with wonderful food. They take reservations, too!

While in boston recently we wanted to have a nice dinner to celebrate the wife’s birthday. She chose Artu after doing a little research online. Located in the Beacon Hill area, Artu is located down a few steps off the street. The dining room is small, maybe 30 people max. The wine list was quite reasonable and had plenty of... More

Got here around 6-ish on a midweek evening late September and this small, cozy place was packed already. But all the diners looked as though they were having a really good time, so when the friendly and very on the ball waitperson, Branka, promised us she’d have a table ready for us if we had a drink and came back... Firstly, we went to the small Artu, on Charles St, in Beacon Hill....not the one on Prince St in the North End. Artu is a small place on the lower level. Seating maybe 30 people with a bustling open kitchen. The menu is authentic Italian and our server John was patient to explain Italian dining customs and translate the menu.... More

We had there a nice dinner with a attentative and correct and friendly service. The pasta meals served were correct and good. The wines also ok and the price quality relation fully ok. Nice place to go to when in Boston.

We dropped into Artu's on Charles Street having looked in the window and felt the authentic cozy ambience of the place. We were not disappointed and the food was extremely good, genuinely Italian in taste and presentation, accompanied by an interesting wine list and, unlike other reviewers, we were served by a friendly, helpful and engaging waiter - also Italian.... I went to this restaurant on 14, August 2014 with my family to have lunch. Thinking about the place of Beacon Hill, the price is reasonable. A Staff was very friendly and he took care of us well. Dishes were basically home cusine and tasty. The table was a little creak but I did not care so much about it.
