Delicious Italian Food!

Based upon a recommendation from a true local from North Boston, we made reservations for one of our nights in Boston. Was not disappointed. Very good Italian Food, at reasonable prices. So many restaurant choices available, that it sometimes can be overwhelming. Looking for great food in a quaint... read more

I ate here with a business partner in August and we had a very good meal of pizza, pasta and wine in the North End. The service was good (not outstanding), but we had a very noisy and busy table near the bar that downgraded the experience from very good to average - which was disappointing given that we had... We stopped here for dinner for the beginning of our fun night out. The food and service were excellent. The six of us each had a different dish and they were all amazing. One of the best Italian places I have been in a long time.

Had an excellent lunch here on a Sunday with a group of 7. We arrived at noon, with a reservation, and the place was nearly empty. By the time we left there were people waiting to be seated. The food was excellent and the service was decent.

The North End of Boston is filled with many fabulous places to eat and this is not one of them! Our party, along with several other parties waited over a half hour standing in the cold for our reserved table. When we were finally seated there was no apology or even a complimentary glass of wine! The staff was not... More

Antico Forna is a great choice for lunch in Boston’s charming North End; it’s a warm, inviting restaurant with an extensive menu of creative Italian fare. The atmosphere is comfortably casual but service is professional. Four of us met for lunch on a weekday in January, and the place was bustling while still being friendly, relaxed and comfortable. Noise levels... More

We had a late lunch here. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. The wait staff was very pleasant and the service was excellent. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

Dined here for dinner with a group of colleagues during a business conference weekend. Arriving early, I found the place packed, proving that it was very popular. The array of pasta dishes and pizzas I saw on people’s tables looked delectable. Checking in, the hostess greeted me very warmly and even though the bulk of my party had not yet... More

We had An amazing time! It was or first time in the north end and this place was perfect! Every one was talking, the atmosphere was incredible. The wine was amazing we had the acrobat Pinot noir. The pasta and seafood are as they say in Boston "tah die foah"!!! The waitress Rose was amazing! She didn't miss a beat!... More

First off, let me say that the food was very good. No denying that the Iranians that own the restaurant do a good job. The service and communication between server and customers is aweful. They do not like to be asked questions. No one smiled while we were there for over 2 hrs. They are a production line that want... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
