Authentic Italian

Loved the food! Authentic pasta and sauce and great service! Reasonable prices, enjoyed the casual atmosphere. Didn't have dessert but needed to walk a little before anyway as we were stuffed from Dinner. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Always a favorite, Antico Forno has wonderful food and ambiance. Located on Salem Street in Boston, next to a fabulous hardware store, yes, I said, hardware store, this is one of the best places to get Italian food. My husband always gets the Puttanesca and I tend to get the linguine with clams. If we are with another couple, we... More

Awesome food. really good prices especially compared to Australian Italian food. I had the pizza, it was great, full of flavour and tasted amazing. My fiancé had the pasta with muscles... she loved it and ate every bit of it. only negative was it was nearly over capacity and wasn't very spacious. but service was great and no other issues.

I love this restaurant. I usually get the linguini with seafood baked in parchment. Wonderful!! TIt's very busy so reservations, particularly on the week-end are recommended.he wine selection is excellent and all the salads we've tried are good.

It was good but not the best in the North End. We had pizza & calzone. The calzone didn't have any sauce in it or even come with it on the side- just meat/cheese. Also, our server, who appeared to be a more senior staff member wasn't that helpful or friendly. Very curt & a little slow. Ok food but... More

Meh, I had high expectations for this place and honestly was really disappointed. From the reviews I read I thought the pizza would be marvelous. In reality it was below average. The service was also very slow and inattentive. In their defense it was really busy but never the less my experience there was not pleasant.

A wonderful place to dine. Arrived before 5 on a Fri nite. Starts with informative wait staff. Didn't give us attitude as we didn't order liquor. Wonderful bread and spread arrived immediately after ordering. Caesar salad enough for 3 to enjoy. Our group of 3 enjoyed the fettuccini bolognese, pasta aioli with spinach and garlic and the best veal with... More

I was disappointed. The place was busy so I thought I'd try it. My pizza was poor, very greasy and a bit rubbery. Felt like it might have been reheated. That might be the style and just not to my taste. As I said, it was very busy. Staff need a few lessons on how to treat customers. Unusual for... More

This North End institution (opened about 20 years ago) sets the standard for friendly service, good solid Italian food, and reasonable prices. Maybe there are better places to go for a romantic diner, there's nothing better for a group of friends and family. All the dishes we had were delicious: spinach salad, antipasto traditionale, gnocchi with seafood, veal parmigiana, etc.... More

Antico Forno has long been our very favorite go-to restaurant in the North End. The food is consistently fabulous, the service is efficient (some servers are more friendly than others), and it's a great deal for an excellent, sit-down meal. On our most recent visit my daughter and I were hungry at the end of a long, busy, rainy day.... More
