We just finished dining here with our 4 and 6 year olds. The good - Most of the food was decent. The antipasti was solid, the pizza ordered by our daughter terrific. The bad - the hostess was couldn't have been less friendly, my rigatoni salsiccia was burnt and the pasta was soggy, $17 for a children's order of pasta... More

The title pretty much sums it up. We walked over to the North End with no particular destination in mind, but decided on Antico Forno. We received a friendly greeting and the service for the rest of the evening was very courteous and attentive. We ordered pasta dishes and were quite satisfied with both the flavor and the price. The... More

We ordered the semolina kalamari, seafood Del Mar pasta, prosciutto Alfredo, mussels in pasta, salad, bread and tiramisu for dessert. It was bundled so it was still very warm. It was enough delicious food for six hungry adults. I look foward to my return visit.

This was our first stop on our Boston Pizza Tour. The pizza was delicious and the wine wonderful. I would definitely go back with my boyfriend to stay longer and enjoy the atmosphere.

We parked at the TD Garden, walked over (5 mts) to Antico on Salem Street. The food is casual from pizza to other Italian offerings. Quality of food was very good and the quantity was substantial. While there, on a week night, saw what looked like a 'youngish' neighborhood crowd coming in for dinner after a work day. We would... More

Antico Forno is located on Salem St., one block north of bustling Hanover St. Stopped in with a friends for a mid afternoon lunch, right before a Bruins game on a Saturday. The hostess was pleasant and the interior warm from a wood burning fireplace in the center of the dining room and brick pizza oven in the back. This... More

I considered it very good for two reasons. It's a nice, comfortable more family type restaurant - not pretentious or a tourist trap. Also, they take credit cards. The restaurants on Hanover St. do not which is astonishing to me since it's a major tourist area. I'm not a "foody" so I'd rate the food and service very good -... More

Went for lunch on a Saturday after being inspired by John Singer Sargent's paintings of Italy at the MFA. Arrived early and the place was almost empty, but the hostess was still miffed when we asked to be seated in the section away from the TVs. Food and service were excellent. I had a caesar salad and the risotto of... More

Dined here the last night of our Boston trip. They specialize in oven-baked dishes. Hubby started with the Insalata di spinaci (spinich salad, $8), and since it's entree sized our server brought out another plate for us to share. It was good. Although they offer GF pasta, Hubby was fighting the flu and went for the POLLO ARROSTO (roasted chicken,... More

Went here on New Year's Day, as many places were not open for lunch. Must have waited 20 to 30 mins. just to get waitress service and place was half empty. Food was decent. Prices were decent. Seating was a little cramped. Overall, an okay North End restaurant.
