Visited July 4th 2015. Same delicious food but the waiter was hopefully having a bad day; Had an arrogant attitude, poor conversation and said he had been there "longer that I care to admit". Realize we shouldn't let that put a damper on the evening but we tip well and know it is a stressful job... read more

Good food. Attentive servers. Staff is very helpful. Nice and quiet with back ground music that does not drown out conversation.

After dealing with a maitre de that was a bit less than warm ( guess we didn't fit his expectation) we had an awesome experience. Our waiter Dave was gracious down to earth and attentive. The atmosphere was wonderful and our appetizers and meal wee amazing. Prices for Beacon Hill are fare and for what you get reasonable. We were... More

Great food, great atmosphere within walking distance of the Liberty Hotel. Staff was wonderful and the prices surprisingly reasonable. I almost went back the next night. A great night out for dinner.

We had a great dinner at Toscano. Wandered in off the street early and were greeted as if we were the oldest and best repeat customers. Pasta was tasty and perfectly done; the service was friendly and prompt; we got a kick out of the decor, which vaguely resembles a Medici torture chamber, without the rack or thumbscrews. Had a... I had a buffalo mozzarella salad that made me feel like I was in Italy! Then I had the special which was gnocchi with a bolognese sauce that was amazing! The service was perfect. He refilled our wine and water and left us alone to chat! The atmosphere is historical with brick walls and white cloth linens on the tables.... More

Book up ahead as it gets really busy. Family dinner - food was delicious and staff made us feel welcome giving us advice on our forthcoming Cape Cod trip. Highly recommended. Specials particularly enjoyed as were desserts

On a family vacation to Boston, we were going to head to the North End for Italian but instead, Toscano caught our eye and we were not disappointed. It's in a beautiful part of Boston. The menu is great, a good mix of traditional and more creative options, all very well prepared and flavorful. The service was extremely good, very... More

Toscano is located on Charles Street, which is one of Boston's most quaint and visited streets (great shopping too). The food at Toscano is very typical Italian, northern Tuscan food. And I say typical of Italy, not American-Italian. The dishes are authentic, fresh, and the menu is extensive. I was in a large party in the grotto room and the... More
