Whenever I am in Boston I have to go to Toscano. It is one of my favorite restaurants in any city. Great wine list, menu, cheeses, etc. I would highly recommend to anyone. Price is not overwhelming either.

We met friends for cocktails one evening and 4 hours later, we left the restaurant. The waiter was so pleasant and helpful and we had a delightful evening with the most delicious food. My husband remarked that it was the best Italian food he had since we traveled in Italy. That is a huge compliment because he spent an enormous... More

Food is ok.. bar is nice.. but thw two guys hosting have an attitude.. no smiles, rude seating our family. We wanted to wait at the bar before our meal but they said their liquor license only allows people to be served alcohol while eating at the bar... huh? I guess my knowledge of liquor licensing has a new twist..... More

I met a friend here. She was greeted as a regular, and I soon figured out why she liked the place. The food was not cutting edge, but prepared just so (I am not fussy, but have very high standards for cooking, and I was fully satisfied with the technique, quality and presentation). The service was just right. The staff... More

We arrived at this restaurant for lunch quite hungry! A local lady on Charles St. referred us to this place. The beans and minestrone soups, the mozzarella-tomato sandwich and the gnocchi were all excellent. The waitress was very helpful.

Staying in Beacon Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Beacon Hill
Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander through the hilly neighborhood and check out its exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking path. Make sure to meander down Charles street to poke into boutiques and antique shops, cafes, and restaurants on this quaint shopping street. Don’t forget to catch a glimpse up close of the State House with its beautiful and iconic dome.
