We spent the morning strolling Beacon Hill, admiring the Holiday garlands, urns, window boxes, and doorway adornments; which led us to Ristorante Toscano at the foot of the hill. We enjoyed a leisurely (and delicious) lunch with views out to the Charles Street shops, which were also festooned for the Holidays. The great service, great food, and understated elegance, attributed... More

I have eaten at Ristorante Toscano many times and have NEVER been disappointed. The food is amazing, the wait staff is terrific and the atmosphere is fun and lively. As a person who has traveled to Italy many times for business, the only difference between Toscano and "authentic Italian cuisine" is the continent. I highly recommend this establishment.

great place for a casual italian dinner after-work. living in beacon hill, tocscano is a great neighborhood resource. loves the soups on a cold winter evening. indulgent pasta seems a great luxury that makes falling off the anti-carb wagon worthwhile.

Went for lunch several times. The food, wine and ambiance make it a wonderful choice. Prices are very fair too. Just one little thing - a few of the wait staff just have a bit of an edge or slightly snobby attitude. Don't let it deter you, however, because its a great restaurant.

Visited Toscano twice this week (lunch & dinner) and both visits were very good. I tried the double bacon rigatoni at lunch which had beautifully cooked pasta with a great, rich sauce. At dinner later in the week I tried the calamari start and mushroom risotto - both very good. Pizza, paninis and salad at lunch and fish (cod, salmon) at... More

Staying in the neighborhood for a few days, had dinner here. Seated immediately without a reservation. Quiet, elegant atmosphere conducive to conversation. Efficient, unobtrusive service. The special mushroom appetizer was exceptional, as was the truffled risotto. Veal and salmon were also excellent. Good wines by the glass. Prices very reasonable for food and service of this quality. Overall it was... More

We have now had several dinners at this restaurant. It is spacious, comfortable and we don't think overpriced. The menu is varied and the food preparation is pleasing and careful. We are sure to return and don't imagine that we will find this place boring as can happen sometimes over repeated visits to the same establishment.
