Tuck away on Newbury St. It's a great find.

Walking along trendy Newbury St in Boston, we happen upon Thai Basil for lunch. It is located down some stairs at a lower level of a Brownstone. It is a small place with lots of small tables. We ordered the luncheon special entrees, which included Dumplings and spring rolls. It was served quickly... read more

The waitress apologized profusely in her limited English for the poor service. Then, she took her tip off the bill...something we did not notice until we got home. The place was slammed this early evening. I suspect someone was a no-show. As we were leaving, two more wait-staff appeared on the floor. The food was very good but they seem... More

This staple for Thai food has been around for years. the place is clean and the food is very good. The menu is extremely varied. My favorites are the Hmmapain/chicken and the Chicken pad Thai. I am not very adventurous when it comes to Thaid food.

Went here at 7pm and it was packed. Waited maybe 10-15 minutes and they pushed tables together to seat the 9 of us. Everyone ate all of their food. Best meal in Boston and we've been here for 6 days. Great service. They were very attentive to refills. If you like Thai, go here. Bum Thom -Basil with shrimp was... More

Went there with wife and 7 teenagers. It was crowded, they managed to get us all at one table. The food was very fresh and high quality. After paying 2x what I normally would for a haircut, parking, and everything else in Boston (from Atlanta), this was very reasonably priced (maybe cheaper than what I would typically pay). Definitely best... More

Near where I used to work. Fantastic food and good prices. Many people call in their order and carry out their lunch. This means that the restaurant, which is usually full for lunch on weekdays, has to accommodate many more diners than fit in it. The service is rather slow, and you often have to call the servers over many... More

Never having eaten in a restaurant that was located in a building's basement, and having seen the sign as I passed by on the sidewalk, it occurred to me that this would be an interesting place to try. And it was! The menu was straightforward, and my server was interested in making certain that I liked what I ordered. So,... More

We went there for dinner. This was our second visit. Service was fast, attentive and friendly. The food -both starters and entrees were excellent and the portions generous. The price was also very reasonable for the area.
