Based on the other reviews we thought we'd try this restaurant out. We were seated at the unusual "table" which looks like a large basket. Drinks were placed on little side tables. The menu described the food so ordering was a bit easier than expected. However they did not have everything that we ordered so after five mins we were... More

This is a very interesting restaurant worth a visit more for the atmosphere than anything. The honey wine is excellent. The chicken curry dish was good. Avoid the vegetarian. Baklava was average...

Never had this type of food before. The food was great and interesting to eat with a special bread instead of using utensils.

Second time I've visited Addis. The food was excellent - suggest you try any of the fresh curd options. Also the kitfo with their delicious mitmita mix is amazing. On request they made me 15 pieces of injera to go. Only complaint - the lamb was just a bit overcooked.

I love Food, had never tried Ethiopian Cuisine yet. A bunch of my friends took me to this whimsical place to have a community style dinner. We had an all vegetarian meal, and wow, it was so amazing. The whole experience of sharing the plate and the meal is all about sharing your love for food and great conversation topic.... More

I had been to Addis Red Sea back in the early 90’s, when I was a student at BU. I've wanted to take my family there ever since, so on a recent trip to Boston, we used a groupon for an absolutely amazing dinner. We were greeted by the restaurant staff, who ushered us into the intimate dining room. Incense... More

The food served is outstanding. Vegetarian Sambusa was almost perfect. Most vegetarian entrees were excellent. Service and speed of service leaves much to be desired.

Traveling with colleagues and went to dinner here. Scared to think whether or not I would like it....well, I ended up loving it. Great food and a great experience to share with friends or family.

Addis is a whole new dining experience. You eat around a Mesob, which is a Large basket which functions as a table. There are no utensils..you sample different dishes tappas style by using a thin bread that looks like a crepe. I loved it.

For those who haven't eaten at an Ethiopian restaurant, this is a nice adventure into a new cuisine, and a great way to share an intimate meal with good friends. You're seated around a small wicker table, shaped to receive a large (30"?) bowl. You order a number of dishes, which are served in small piles on the bowl, which... More
