Great Italian food without going to the North End

I was looking for some authentic Italian eats but I was in Copley Square with snow everywhere & didn't want to go out to the North End and wait outside to get into one of those small restaurants. After a quick search on MapQuest to see what was nearby, I found Papa Razzi (love the name!). The... read more

Although the restaurant was packed, we were seated only a few minutes after our 8 PM reservation time. The service was friendly and prompt and we enjoyed our meals.

During the recent storm to hit Boston, we wanted to have dinner close to our hotel so we wouldn't have far to walk, so we chose Papa Razzis, just a few steps away on Newbury St. What a great decision. The food and service were great and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. We sat near the window and watched... More

The maitre d seated a drunk party of 7 people next to us. they continuously made sexist and racist remarks throwing the f bomb every other word When we complained to the staff they told us we would have to speak louder. they did not approach the party and continued... This is a really good Italian restaurant. Upscale, warm and comfortable atmostphere. Have been going here for years. Love it!

We have been going to Papa Razzi for many years (visiting all the Papa Razzis around Boston, and even in Georgetown, Washington, when it was still open). It has always been our son's 'go to' favorite restaurant, and since moving to Connecticut, we have made it a Christmas tradition to visit the Newbury Street Papa Razzi every year. We always... More

We stumbled on this place while strolling on newburry street and were very surprised! Absolutely great italian food! Also very quick service and a friendly waiter who knew his wines, which is something you dont see a lot!

First time we have visited. We got straight off a plane and met friends to celebrate. The staff were friendly and though we must have looked a complete mess they helped us with our luggage and seated us very quickly. The waitress was friendly and polite and pointed out lots of vegetarian options on the menu. The Blood Orange Manhatton... More

Me and my partner recently went to Papa Razzi on our last evening in Boston. The service we received was absolutely terrible, the host was rude and the server wasn't much better. The actual food that was served was okay. There are so many nice restaurants in Boston, give this one a miss and try another in town!

When in Boston it's not a bad choice. Location on Newbury street is perfect. Atmosphere is good. Somewhat chain like... Service is usually good.. But not fine dining..... Food is usually good but again somewhat generic... All and all.... A solid OK
