Grear food, bad waiter

We had a reservation here on a busy Saturday nite, arrived on time and were quickly seated. Our waiter came to our table and immediately told us they had a party if 30 coming in soon and we should hurry and order because the kitchen would be backed up. We took our time picking a bottle of wine, and... read more

We went on a Saturday night to celebrate my daughters 25th birthday. Here is our experience. First the cheese plate was very sparse. That should have been my first tip. Then we went with the signature drinks. Most were poured an inch from the top--no one does this and that really upsets me and is telling of how the place... More

Our party of four enjoyed a good quality meal on a Friday night, underpinned by excellent service. The wine list was extensive and although not cheap the evening went very well.

My husband and I went to dinner with friends, who love this restaurant. We rarely eat at South End restaurants, but given their enthusiasm, we joined them on a recent Sunday evening. So glad we did! Everything we ate exceeded our expectations. I ordered the brussel sprouts with a sriracha glaze. I didn't expect the brussel sprouts to be fried,... More

I loved the old building and history of this restaurant. The food was good but nothing superb and I think the prices were too high for the quality of food.

We enjoyed the friendly manners of staff, manager and server. A cornbread was served immediately and was warm and tasty. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in our wilted salad and skimpy cheese plate appetizer. The mussels were average. My husband loved his cod and my lobster pasta entree was tasty but would have been more enjoyable with more lobster and less... More

Came here for brunch. Staff friendly but kind of off putting watching staff off duty drinking at the bar and distracting all the staff and frustrating other customers. My food wasn't as good as usual. Pre cooked potatoes not hot and seemed to be less on the plate. This used to be my fav place but there are now better... More

We enjoyed brunch with friends at Union--airy room, nice table, great waiter. But the food didn't contribute much. Our rosemary fries were a great idea, but did not reach the table hot. The gruyere popover with bacon sounded good, but was served in an unwieldy arrangement that made it very difficult to eat, and both the popover and the bacon... More

I have been here for brunch several times and loved it. They come up with really interesting omelets that are delicious. The service is always good (and cute) as well.

Very friendly server made our first night a good one. I had the cod which was excellent and my daughter a very large serving of excellent brisket
