Masa came up on a google search for "Best Brunch" so we thought what the heck...we got the $8.95 brunch special and it was incredible! We got the caramelized plantain empanada, and it was perfectly sweet and savory...followed by the Southwest Eggs Benedict and the Huevos Rancheros...both deliciously fresh and different...we were pleasantly surprised and would definitely dine here again...also,... Not sure what was going on here. Server and host seemed uninterested. Only one other table had customers the entire time we were there on a Sunday night. Server was unattentive and barely audible. Food was tastey but did not feel welcome here. With so many great restaurants in the South End we will not be returning to Masa. Maybe... More

A large group is hard to handle. Masa did our good job of feeding 16 of us! The appetizers were wonderful. The only shortfall was the pork shoulder which wasn't as tender as my buddy would have expected. Everything else had our party licking the plate.

Masa is amazing for brunch. We didn't have reservations, but just hopped in and tried to get a couple of seats at the bar for brunch. We did, and ordered a couple of delicious brunch cocktails: bellini and pomegranate mojito. Both lovely. The brunch menu was delicious and was of great value. We had a lovely time and would definitely... More

After finding a parking spot on the street with an hour on the meter, my spouse & I stopped in at Masa for a snack before a play. On a Saturday at 1pm, the restaurant was full of people having brunch. We opted for seats at the brass-topped bar and had fish tacos and plantain empanada with cinnamon cream cheese.... More

This restaurant has a terrific balance of qualities I appreciate. Creative menu without being off-putting, cuisine and atmosphere not pretentious or too precious, predictably very good meals, excellent may be more accurate, good ambiance. Excellent pairing of tastes without being too exotic. Always busy in my experience but no sense of being squeezed. Lots of good adds up to great.

Really impressed - looks fairly unassuming outside but has a great reputation especially for brunch, and as soon as we walked in I was impressed by the fairly fancy decor and quiet classy atmosphere. The service was very polite friendly and prompt. We had the set price fiesta brunch which is a bargain for 2 courses and a drink at... More

A friend and I made reservations for brunch at Masa on an early Indian Summer Saturday. The friend is confined to a motorized wheelchair, and staff catered to her disability discreetly and with respect--a plus in my book (inside the restaurant, the dining floor is raised several steps above sidewalk level, but it is reached by a long, straight ramp... Main claim to fame for food is kind of Spanish Tapas, but I had very good whole meal here. Food was different from the run of the mill. Need to be willing to try different flavors but they did them well and this Irish kid could handle the level of spiciness, although they offered more spice if you want it.... More

Last night I went for a stroll in Boston for the first time since my little paws returned home to Cambridge back in July. It was truly a wonderful night to be out in the city. My destination for the evening was a southwestern restaurant called Masa in the South End on Tremont Street. It had been over two years... More
