Lovely anniversary dinner before the theatre. On the expensive side but good for special occasions. A bit steep for my taste for just a quick bite before the theatre but worth it for our anniversary.

Booked ahead and when arrived we were told we needed to wait for our table to free up, ended up being about 20 mins. The weather was nice that day so we didn't mind waiting outside, not much room inside to do so didn't have much choice. Brunch was busy and it was our first time so we were looking... More

This place has the feel and ambiance of a real French bistrot. We went there prior to attending a play at the Boston Center for the Arts just down the street. They have a 3 course prix fixe menu prior to the theater for $29. In my mind a real bargain for what you get, We all had a choice... More

Aquitaine is one of my favorite French restaurants in Boston! I am usually there for Brunch, but had the pleasure of dining there this weekend. It has such a chic yet comfortable ambiance, and I've always found the staff to be great. All of the omelets I've had are great, and the onion soup is very filling. Last night we... More

Since it's so expensive for dinner here, I was amazed at how cheap, yet good brunch is. Same excellent service and high quality food. Must try applewood smoked bacon!

Took a date to Aquitaine the other night. We were greeted by one of the best bar persons. She was very helpful with my dates wine selection. Food was great as well. Good sauces (being a french restaurant, thats important). The sauce were perfect, flavorful without being overwhelming. Nice second date option, highly recommend it

Dinner for three people late fall this year. Decor - a bit crowded but very warm ambiance was inviting, despite the packed house. We arrived on time and were promptly seated (not always a given). Overall very pleased. Onion soup is right up there with he best I can recall, with a rich truffled beef broth giving it a heft... More

We have our Christmas/ Holiday Party at this restaurant having the chain in the past. Overall first impression, overpriced - average cuisine. Run down - Parking Valet $16 + tip - street parking if lucky $1.25 / hr. Drinks were delicious. Bar tender was toasted. Only one member was served the Sisson beer - they were all out - how... More

I found this place on a long walk one Sunday morning. The outside of the building and the interior looked really cool. Tastefully decorated white table cloth, smallish restaurant with lots of glass. I had an important business dinner so I chose Aquitaine. We were seated in the back of the restaurant and were greeted by a waitress who must... More

Having eaten here several times I can say that this is an excellent restaurant. Matthew the bartender is friendly, creative, and mixes potent drinks. The French onion soup is the best in Boston. Steak frittes with fries seasoned and cooked well was mouth watering. Coming here before theater, their theater menu is a wonderful value. Though it is a French... More
