Worth a visit if you were a fan of the TV series, which I still am. From the street with the steps down to the bar it looks just like the TV bar. Inside it is very different, but the overall theme is the same. It was all filmed on a TV set of course & I didn't expect it... More

We belong to the era that watched Cheers on TV thus cannot miss the opportunity to see this bar / restaurant in Boston. It was a nice nostalgic feeling to see the "set" then of that show. The place was pretty crowded but we managed to get a table upstairs. The waitress was very helpful in suggesting which items on... More

We had a couple of drinks and an order of nachos. The pours were generous and I could not believe how much cheese were on the nachos. We added the buffalo chicken on the nachos and it was good, but the put the buffalo sauce all over the nachos which was a bit much. Over all very good and happy... More

Visited with friends yesterday on a boys weekend to Boston, just wanted to pop in for a quick drink around 330 pm... We were greeted and told if we wanted to sit at the bar we could for drinks, all three bars (basement, back room and replica upstairs) were full, yet the corresponding dining areas were relatively empty, we were... Having seen Cheers from outside we were going to be quite satisfied but the next day finding ourselves nearby and with no other restaurants in sight for an evening meal we gave in and decided to see if there was a table available. Although busy and with a book full of reservations we were accommodated. Service was excellent and while... More

Drove to Boston to take a New England Cruise. Spent a couple of days before cruise in Boston and area. After driving to cruise terminal day before we were to leave, we drove through areas of Boston with "Irish Pub" type names. We thought about trying one and then opted to seek out the place on which the TV show,... More

You cannot go to Boston if you are of a certain age and miss this bar! Granted it is a bar, but it is an icon and we spent an enjoyable hour or so having a beer and munching on bar food which was well prepared. Good service and a comfortable setting. (I saved the placemat :)

Ok food and excellent service. The day we went was not busy so we did not have to wait long for the food . The four of us enjoyed the experience.

Our waitress was friendly and guided our choices and we are glad she did. Clam chowder was wonderful. I had garlic cheesy bread which I loved.
