I get the historical significance of this spot, but it is time to update. Keep the commercial memories, but change the chairs, the tablecloths, lights, and please, clean! Everything is old, dirty and plain worn out. One other thing to keep - the staff. They were friendly, warm and definitely one of the only assets of this bar.

If you enjoyed the tv show, you come here to enjoy a little bit of nostalgia. We had burgers for lunch.......pretty ordinary, the service was fine. We visited the gift shop and purchased some items.....no doubt, the profit center of the enterprise! Worth the visit, of course.

Food and service was ok. Menu was small. Place was expensive all around. Only likeness to the show was outside. They have another location in Boston that's called Cheers the replica but I didn't visit it.

The entrance is just like from TV---but inside, the TV producers created something much different than this original idea source. Even so, it is definitely worth stopping. Awesome service, great people, great staff. Setting is also great---do not miss the photo of Sam and Robin Williams on wall-----timely find.

It was fun to see. We were told that this is not where it was filmed, only the outside was used in the show. Nevertheless, we had a good lunch there & got some good photos.

Not an authentic remake of the sitcom's setting, but a decent local bar when not overrun with tourists.

We stopped here, of course, because of the TV program. We ate lunch and it was very good. The clam chowder was one of the best, if not the best in Boston.

Bar and restaurant were the inspiration for the TV show Cheers but by another name. Name of previous bar was removed and Cheers signage added after TV show became popular . Great place for a nostalgic dinner and to say you ate there and take pictures , but food was about average . Definitely touristy and paying a premium for... More

Way too many people, even though we went there at 4 in the afternoon. Not as charming as I imagined it would be. Now, the beer was ice cold which was a big plus.
