Still just as good

It's taken me 23 years to get back to Cheers. The friendly atmosphere is still the same though I doubt many under 40 would truly appreciate its significance in being the inspiration of the great comedy of the same name. I much prefer the original to the imitation located on the freedom trail but... read more

Let's be real, anyone who watched Cheers with as much enthusiasm as it was famous in its time. It was with much pleasure to have seen the place which inspired the show itself. Of course, not everything will be perfect or the way you've expected it, and no they will not know your name. That's not the point, it brought... More

This is a typical tourist trap. Bus pulls up and drops off a load of tourists who are herded in like sheep. Nothing special about Cheers. The show ended over 2 decades ago. Worst of all, it wasn't filmed here - it was a Hollywood production. A more authentic experience would be to head to Los Angeles where the show... More

Exactly like the TV programme.Great staff, good food reasonably priced.Only i person ordered a sweet, but when it arrived,we were amazed at the size of it.While we were joking about it,the waiter produced seven spoons,so the whole family could have a taste.

This was your typical tourist trap. We stopped in for a drink while touring the city as we figured it was something to do. You could always tell when another trolley dropped off as the droves of people came in. Upstairs is the actual

If you are a true Cheers fan you have to go here. Sit and have dinner at the set bar. Food is nothing special just typical bar food. However the atmosphere is nostalgic and it takes you back to the series Cheers. The gift shop is nice.

As tourists to the area we walked across from the North End of Boston to this establishment. It was a Saturday and extremely busy. We were advised that there was a wait of 45 minutes for a table; but in the end we only waited about 20 minutes. Our table in the upstairs area of this restaurant was adjacent to... More

We stopped here to eat and get a couple pictures with the sign. Food was just OK and the drinks were terrible. I had their 'signature' bloody Mary and it was terrible. There was so much celery salt that it just tasted of bad celery and no other spices or kick of any kind. My suggestion for the prices..get a... More

I loved the TV show Cheers like many of us did, and while in Boston after my son's wedding, we had to go have a beer at Cheers just to see the place. What an amazing building. Its so tall, you'd never realize from the show just how big the place was. You walk down into the tavern and you... More

It's a local place with mediocre food. I think over priced for what it is, staff was ok. The gift shop seem to be bigger then the restaurant.
