The place lacks atmosphere even though it was full and the guy serving us was just a bit odd - maybe we were expecting a more 'ethnic' experience but the place is decorated quite plainly and our waiter was just on the polite side of surly. We haven't tried Azerbijan food before (so I've up-marked the whole thing to give... More

Had a very nice meal for four recently on a not-busy night. Everything was well prepared, in particular enjoyed the duck with pomegranate and walnut sauce. The lamb dishes were also excellent. Service was attentive and friendly but not intrusive. I recommend the Entoca 26 wines -- they own the vineyard evidently.

Food was outstanding and flavorful. Great first experience with Persian food. Visited during restaurant week 2014. Bar area is small with three or four stools so clearly just a place to have a drink while waiting for your table. Waiter was snarky, which wasn't amusing although it appeared he thought so, but we overlooked this with respect to the fabulous... More

We had eaten Italian food the night before, and were going to eat Italian the next night. So we were looking for something different, and I rememberd a lovely Middle Eastern restaurant we'd eaten at the last time we were in Boston. Lala Rokh was just a few blocks from our notel, so we called for a reservation and walked... More

The menu is very Americanized and the foods are far from authentic Persian food and very expensive for what they are. Beautiful restaurant, good service.

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was classy and comfortable. The manager was especially nice. The prices for the area and quality cant be beat.

The food here is good, but a little overpriced for the quality. I thought that the Mirza ghasemi was very good, while the Bagla Pollo could have been more tender. Typically I find slow cooked lamb shank at this price point to fall off the bone. The flavor was good though. I tried the Fesenjan as well. It was a... More

Lala Rokh kind of dissapointed me. I haven't been in years, and I remembered it being more exotic and interesting than it was. It looks a little downtrodden and in need of TLC physically as well as in the food department. I had mushrooms over polenta for an all, and it was nothing i couldnt' have made better at home... More

The food was great and the service was very friendly and informative. The flavors of each dish has different levels of spice and herbs.

What a disappointinfg dinner! The kebab was undercooked and when she took it back to the kitchen it came back burnt (and still red inside). None of the other dishes were good either, not even the rice. Now I understand why the cook said that she doesn't get many Iranian customers as no Iranian would stand for such bad food!... More
