The waitstaff was easy-going, the music entertaining and food perfect for vegetarians! We started with the Champagne flight, you get to choose from a list, any three, we decided on currant, raspberry and pomegranate - sweet and nice to share ($15). Moved on to the soup, perfect for a winter's night, Barley and Yarma Shourba Ash - each ($9). One... More

Food good. Big lamb shank on a generous bed of rice cooked to perfection, but the sauce on the lamb needed a bit more energy. The stuffed zucchini app was tasty but not not enough. Outstanding classic bourbon old-fashioned from the bartender, and the house cocktails were fun, too. Beer was just cold enough and a good balance to the... More

looked for a nice dinner just before heading to the airport after a short stay in dowentown Boston for a conference; my AAA book showed few ethnic food choices in the immediate downtown area apart from the standard Italian, Chinese, etc, so I took a chance on Lala Rokh; I was almost deterred by the spate of negative reviews here... As a big fan of Persian food, I had to try this place. The place looks nice and the staff is very professional. The food itself was good, though it seemed to have been modified to suit the American pallet, which is a shame. I was really impressed with their ability to change the dishes to suit dietary restrictions and... More

This was a nice place to stop for us. Our son has an egg allergy and it was easy to have a nice meal without worry about exposures. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. The service was good. The portions were good and the food was a nice change from the run-of-the-mill places you might try on a vacation. I... More

We enjoyed this restaurant our first night in Boston. It was crowded so I recommend reservations. Because we weren't terribly hungry we each had one entree and no appetizers. It was plenty of food. I did like the different spices and flavors and am glad we tried it. The place was quite crowded but service was good. Would recommend it.

The place lacks atmosphere even though it was full and the guy serving us was just a bit odd - maybe we were expecting a more 'ethnic' experience but the place is decorated quite plainly and our waiter was just on the polite side of surly. We haven't tried Azerbijan food before (so I've up-marked the whole thing to give... More

Had a very nice meal for four recently on a not-busy night. Everything was well prepared, in particular enjoyed the duck with pomegranate and walnut sauce. The lamb dishes were also excellent. Service was attentive and friendly but not intrusive. I recommend the Entoca 26 wines -- they own the vineyard evidently.

Food was outstanding and flavorful. Great first experience with Persian food. Visited during restaurant week 2014. Bar area is small with three or four stools so clearly just a place to have a drink while waiting for your table. Waiter was snarky, which wasn't amusing although it appeared he thought so, but we overlooked this with respect to the fabulous... More
