Loved this restaurant.

I happened upon this restaurant while walking down Newberry Street. It was just what I wanted. It's a small Italian/wine bar with a full menu but they also offer a wonderful selection of small plates. Had a lovely early dinner. Pasta bolognese was perfectly done, ravioli excellent. First place I have ever received a glass of wine with its own business card! Came with a card describing the wine's attributes. Overall a great meal!

We love italian food and we also love small plates tapas style. Piattini offers both. I fell in love with their lobster ravioli and fruita di mare with fresh, large mussels! I only wish they had a restaurant in CA.

Ate here on the last day of our holiday ... wish I had visited earlier. Had a light lunch - really good food and a very pleasant atmosphere. Next time I am in town I look forward to an evening meal.

The service is always helpful and prepared to offer suggestions with the number of choices you are presented with for the meal. Though the rack of lamb was a bit over cooked as compared to other visits, the Pollo al Mattone was pleasing for the other party, and the desserts, tiramisu and chocolate mousse were superb.

While recently staying at the nearby Lenox Hotel in the Back Bay section of Boston, our concierge recommended and made a reservation for us at the Piattini Wine Cafe. Our dining experience there was truly delightful. We started with several glasses of wine and then ordered Tapas style: salads, appetizers, in addition to a pasta and chicken dish. Each was... More

Went here for dinner on Friday night. Had a reservation and was seated within a few short minutes of our arrival. The restaurant is pretty small but we were very comfortable with the corner table they gave us. They have a big wine list with many affordable bottles. We ordered a bottle of wine and a big salad for the... More

The wife wanted to find a convenient Italian restaurant, and we settled on Piattini, but I wouldn't use the word 'settled' after eating there. We had a great experience with excellent food and service. I don't know if I'd call the restaurant a 'cafe', it had a full board of fare from appetizers to pastas to entrees, and in sampling... We went here for a weekday dinner. It was busy but not too busy. Our server was polite and helped us make selections from their menu. There were many things that we wanted to try, and we kept changing our mind. I think we will have to go back and try some of the other appetizers and entrees. We were... More
