It was a gorgeous sunny day yesterday, Friday July 31, 2015, and we were strolling on Newbury St. We passed by and wanted a "sunny" meal at Piattini. There were tables outside so we thought this would be easy; I think not ;-(. We found the hostess and she took us to the other side/other patio and refused to give... More

Friendly staff. Nice searing outside. Food pretty good, though agree with some re flavourless dishes...the gnocchi and calamari were serious let downs All in all good but slightly overpriced. May return. 3.5 stars.

Not sure what else I could say,...I was hoping the mediocre/negative reviews regarding the food were wrong. Well my friends, they weren't. OK food, but the wine was very good.

Went for lunch and had the caprese panini and a flatbread. The panini was a cold sandwich with giant tomatoe slices, wads of mozzarella and drenched in pesto on a thick ciabatta roll. We ordered the pasta salad side but received a side salad. When the pasta salad was provided it came on a small side plate with about six... More

Went for dinner with business colleague - sat outside which was nice as the space is directly on Newbury Street but surrounded by flowered planters which makes it feel private. Ordered two appetizers - mistake - they are huge! Three bruschetta dish and the caramelized cauliflower were delicious - fresh and crisp. Main course was a disappointment - the strip... More

Great spot on Newbury Street. Sit on the outside tables if possible and watch the world go by. Wonderful panini's and salads. Big mention for Alex our server ( massive Chelsea fan) who was excellent. Nice chilled atmosphere - good for lunch.

Nice little trattoria perfectly situated on Newbury Street. The dining patio is bordered by flowers albeit a bit of a squeeze to get the tables in this small footprint. Service allowed us to mellow and enjoy the passersby and our meal was timed nicely to allow us to relax and linger. The almond salad with gorgonzola and granny smith apples... More

We ate inside. The atmosphere was intimate and eclectic with copper topped tables and art. The lunch portions were large enough that several took a portion home as the food was delicious! Lots of lunch choices and nobody was disappointed. Attentive, but not rushed. Bread is awesome. It is nestled in an interesting neighborhood with interesting shops nearby. The only... More

Service, food, ambiance, all lovely. Just as it should be, but often is not. I loved that I did not feel rushed - just like dining in Italy!
