We were looking for a place where we could make reservations for our group of seven at the last minute and found this restaurant on Open Table. Prices are reasonable, the atmosphere (while a little noisy and warm) was fun, the food was delicious and the service was excellent! Definitely recommend the classic red sangria - we ordered many pitchers... More

A group of ten went. The service was some of the most attentive we had on our entire trip. It is a tapas restaurant, so we ordered A LOT of small plates and shared and ate an enormous variety of food. It was so much fun. Of the dishes we had (and we tried A LOT of them), there was... More

Tapas literally means "small plates" so it is best to understand before going that you are about to share with others at your table a "dinner of appetizers." At most restaurants, you want your own plate to slowly enjoy. When you come to Tapeo, plan to slowly enjoy many different and awesome tastes across the meal. For a family of... More

Mother's Day. My wife had just played a concert at the nearby Boston Conservatory. Her brother came in from Providence. My wife's fellow pianist joined us as well. None of us had been here. We left very pleased. The entire experience was pleasant. An open, airy, upstairs, with a nice view of Newbury Street. An outside area, crowded with happy... More

Loved this place. Great atmosphere and great food & drinks. Not crazy expensive either. The Brazilian cheese bread and chimichurri beef tenderloin were among the best things we had....along with the sangria! Definitely would recommend this place and would definitely return.

I've been to Tapeo twice now and neither time had a bad experience. The food is good, but not great. The sangria doesn't have much alcohol in it, but certainly tastes good. Most recently, we went during dine out Boston. We ordered the garlic shrimp, the short ribs, the tilapia, the broccoli fritters, the calamari, artichokes, and a few other... More

Great servings with an excellent selection of tapas. We were here at eatoutboston so 33$ for 1 entere dish, 2 tapas and a dessert was just fine. We ordered several enteres all of which were excellent. The main dishes (which included the beef in herbs, sausage in figs and meatballs in cream) were all great. We also had a pitcher... More

I have good memories of Tapeo from the past but this meal was nothing special. I was bummed. The garlic shrimp was good, and the sautéed spinach too. But the breads didn't seem fresh and the beef tenderloin was anything but tender. My glass of sangria was watered down. Our serve came over to take our order and we didn't... More

After being in Barcelona recently our daughter wanted to have her birthday dinner at a tapas restaurant. The Boston address was within walking distance from our hotel so we made reservations thru Open Table telling the restaurant that this was a special evening. We had to ask for another table as they sat us in a back corner upstairs that... More
